I got a response from Catnip that her H's withdrawal lasted about 6 mos., but I was wondering about some of the others here on MB. How long did your WS' withdrawal's last and how bad was it for you, the BS? Just trying to have some idea of what to expect and encouragement not to LB. Thanks.

Dear floored,
Hang tough, man, because it is a rollercoaster ride! You will have periods of great joy and hope matched by terrible sadness and despair. Just come here for support and ride it out. I am one year post discovery, and I think my wife is still in withdrawl. I also think this is because my wife still has contact with OM for visitation with OC.
If your wife has completely stopped contact with OM, her period of withdrawl may be of shorter duration, but it may be more intense. If you see your wife slipping into a deep depression, get her some help. Antidepressant medication may decrease the agony for both of you.
Post here often, and listen to what these people have to say. They have all been there! Hang in there, she's worth it!
God bless you,
------------------

Lynton

Like Lynton, my H still has contact with OW, so I don't know if my situation is a good comparision. He is still in withdrawal & things could still go any direction for us. Maint thing here is hopefully to get WS to commit to no contact. It really moves things along (as best I can tell). My H & OW work together, so things just drag alonog for us.
Take Care...
Carolyn
