hi guys. i am back. i missed the forum. but it was a well needed vacation. almost don't even want to go back to work tomorrow. missed the hubby, but i am home now. nothing new to report. still waiting for the court papers to arrive. hopefully we make it thru the new year without having to deal with it. would hate to have it hit during the holidays. but, if it does, we will weather the storm.
i have some reading to do, talk to ya later.
happy_girl

Welcome back, HG:
Hope you are well rested and ready to take on the world...or at least your portion of it.
Don't worry too much about papers arriving during the holidays...last year we were inundated with court papers, telephone testimonies and Orders for Protection and all kinds of bad, bad stuff...but, because the holidays are such a busy time, these things came and went without a great deal of weeping and gnashing of teeth...only momentary angst.
The holiday hoopla is almost a good diversion from being hit with stuff like this.
We had the telephone testimony and received the DNA news on 12-20-99...and my beloved Grandfather died that day, along with the OFP and reams of demands for financial information, threatening calls from State of NY, etc. But with relatives and kids and cooking and decorating, it seemed for me at least, that the annoyances from these bureaucrats were just that...annoyances. They were small stuff in the big scheme of things.
I constantly get notices and threatening letters from these people because we have been in arrears from the beginning because they ordered my husband to pay about 70% of his salary...in fact, they demanded he pay while he was still ill and when he was unemployed; yet the arrears kept accumulating. It's such a huge big mess for us now, that we barely do anything about it at all because we can't.
Now the holidays are once again upon us and we are focusing on what we can do to make our lives less complicated. We are simplifying...
Wow...I'm sorry, HG...I guess my response took a weird turn here. Kind of thinking out loud as I go.
I'm glad you're back...don't let the [censored] get you down and don't worry about them ruining your holidays...it is simply a state of mind. Your blessing this season is your marriage intact and a remorseful husband and an opportunity to become closer than ever.
Catnip =^^=

catnip, thanks for reminding to of what i DO have. i just saw on the court website that the DNA test has now been ordered, so we might get a notice soon. before it was just filed as a motion for genetic testing. now it says order for genetic testing. look out roller coaster. i tell myself to keep a calm head, but my insides just turn over even thinking about it. why do i torture myself??? because i can? who knows.
i read your post about your situation. my heart and prayers go out to you. i shouldn't complain when i see others struggling more than we are. keep your chin up. take care and talk to ya later.
happy_girl
