Love the 80's club dancing music!!!!! (Flashbacks)
Yaz - "Midnight"
Information Society - "Running"
Noel - "Silent Morning"
Depeche Mode - "Strange Love"
This cracks my son up!! Found one song he downloaded by Limpbiskit call "Breakstuff" - had many choice words but was definitely how I feel somedays.
"Just one of those days when you
don't want to wake up.
Everything is ******
Everybody sucks"...
"It's just all about that he said/she
said Bull***"
If the cursing won't offend you, I'd recommend listening to it. HA!HA!
P.S. Needless to say I was shocked that my son had downloaded it (they have an edited version that plays on MTV). That one definitely got deleted.
[This message has been edited by Eraser12 (edited December 07, 2000).]

Hey Catnipster,
I really liked your choices.(I didn't think anyone knew who Etta James was) There is a bar in town that features blues artists,( It's really a dump, it's called The Grand Emporium, but it's the greatest, I saw John Lee Hooker a couple of years ago).
Have you checked out Napster yet, I've been trying to help you!
------------------

Gregg

Hahahahaha, Gregg. A hamster with narcolepsy. Pretty funny. You're punchy from being up late, aren't you?
Yeah. My husband gives me the business about liking Black music and Soul food (no kidding) and being midwest white bread. He's from around the Detroit area but loves Enya, classical and Foghat and kind of an intellectual creative type.
I love those dumpy blues bars. I used to love to go to them and smoke cigarettes and look tragic...now I don't have to 'act' like I got dem mean old blues messin wid my hed. I have joined the ranks of Billie and Etta and can now walk into any blues bar with my head held high, because I've been through the fire and survived. Hahaha
At Last, Gregg, At Last.
Catnip =^^=

It's impossible to feel down when you listen to this stuff! I've been digging deep into my blues collection lately, how 'bout you?
God bless you,
------------------

Gregg

Hey, Cat-in-the-hat-nap ster,

(Sorry, my little girl calls a cat-nap a cat-in-the-hat-nap!)
I was just remembering my first concert experience. It was at a "should have been condemned" building called Cowtown Ballroom. The headliner was "It's a Beautiful Day", (Anyone remember the song "White Bird ?") The opening act was Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, a blues guitarist and harmonica player.
Ahhh, I can still smell the hemp and Ripple. I've been a blues fan ever since!

God bless you,
------------------

Gregg

The closing line is so inspirational for us all
"White bird must fly or she will die"
I guess that's what we are all doing here -- spreading our wings and taking charge of ourselves.
Thanks for the memory!
- Heavenly

Gemini1,

A band called "It's A Beautiful Day" did it originally, I'm sure it's been covered by many bands.(Catnip, I think you're thinking of "White Rabbit". See, all those drugs did affect your memory!)
I think the albums' name was the same as the bands', but I'm not sure.(I know those drugs affected my memory!)
God bless you,

------------------

Gregg
