Dear happy girl,
Hon, it's gonna be OK,
Yes, you will be able to buy a house. I don't know of any reason you could't pay off your arrearages early, but for cash flow reasons you may not want to. As far as I know, you will be required to pay assesed support, plus half that amount as payment on arrearages. Why pay this bimbo off any earlier than you have to? You could be banking your down payment on your house!
Financial problems can be a big stress on a marriage. Don't let it happen. Get some expert advice, it will be money well spent. The consumer credit counseling service is free.

Besides, when you become a CRNA, you'll be bringing in the big bucks, right!
God bless you,
------------------

Gregg

Dear Catnip,
You told me once that needs are more important than thread crashing.

I have been bankrupt( following my divorce) and it is horrible. But I also found out that getting a judgement and collecting are two different things. If you have nothing, there is nothing to take!
If you do have something:

Have you thought about cashing in and leaving the country?

God bless you,
------------------

Gregg

catnip-thanks for your post. i will reread it tomorrow when i am more awake. i love ya catnip!
gregg-good points there. i think all the arrearages go to the state though because she was on welfare for the whole time. only came after us because they threatened to cut off welfare if she didn't name the father.
i won't be anywhere close to being a CRNA for a long time. i just am struggling to get my RN right now. later i will go back for BSN and then see what happens from there. i tried for to long to get into BSN programs but can't afford it. we can afford the community college here without taking loans.
my husbands employer has been paying him less with a check since we first found out and paying him the rest cash under the table. hopefully that will help our payments to not be too high. illegal yes, but what choice do we have?? plus we won't be able to do it forever so eventually it will catch up to us.
i am going to bed. i am emotionally drained. thanks guys. i will sleep better now.
love, happy_girl
god bless you too gregg. and you too catnip, god loves you.

happy-girl,

Good night,
Two things;

I don't think you neccesarily need a BSN, just a BS. I know BSN programs are expensive.
If you are currently working for a hospital, many offer tuition reimbursement for CRNA students, if you agree to work for that hospital for a pre-determined length of time( one to two years) There is a huge shortage of CRNAs.

You can do it.

God bless you,
------------------

Gregg

hi all. our we brought in the new year a happy couple! it was funny too, today my husband says, 2000 was a good year for us don't you think? i said yes. yes because our marriage is stronger than ever, we are happy and we are committed to making our marriage work forever.
but i thought, wow, even after all this stuff with being slammed with the court papers and surprise of child support, etc, that he could say we had a good year. i think we did too, but i worry more and get stressed more than him. all in all, this has been the best year despite all the problems we have weathered. actually since our first year and D-day with the affair, things have only gotten slowly but surely better.
I just wanted to end this thread saying I feel better. I was stressed when I first posted it and thanks to all your advice am feeling much better now.
thanks!!
happy_girl
