I am asking you to pray for my Grandmother's surgery again. She will be going in to the hospital tomorrow morning at 5:30(AZ time). She has healed from the complications from the angiogram, and all her blood tests came back just fine. My mother will be at the hospital with her father during the surgery. It is still scheduled as a triple by-pass, with a possibility of a quadruple if one of the blockages looks as if they will need to by-pass it. The docs still say that she is very healthy, and has a strong heart, in spite of the angina. I guess our main prayer is for the surgeons' hands to be in God's hands.
On another note, at my Dr appt yesterday, I got most of the results from the 28 week blood work. Everything is fine, except the antibody scan came back positive. Now, they are screening to see which antibody I have in my blood system. This may be an answer to our prayers. In short, it may be my body is creating antibodies like it did with our son and daughter. I am O+ and my H is A+, all our children have been A+, and had what is called abo incompatibility jaundice. This could be that same antibody, which would mean that OM would have no claim what-so-ever, since he is O-. That shouldn't cause my body to create antibodies of that sort. We probably won't know until the 19th or till the baby is born for sure, but it is still a possibility.
Again, the main thing for this post is the prayers for my Grandmother tomorrow morning. I greatly appreciate them.
Thank you,
Tigger

Flowerseed,
We aren't trying to pin all our hopes on the blood tests, as nothing can be certain until the baby is born. It does raise the chance that it is my H's child and not OM. Unfortunately, there will be no way to know for sure until March. My H did say that it doesn't matter either way, it is still his "child". That, of course, almost made me cry. I just wish that others on this site were as lucky as I am. I know that there are wives in my situation that still don't realize how lucky they are( floored and Lynton's wives especially), and that really breaks my heart when I read the pain the H's are going through. The same goes for all of you wives whose H's don't realize how lucky they are to have you.
Look at me, I rambled again ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif) I will go now.
Tigger

Dear Tigger,
May God watch over your grandmother and keep her safe during the ordeal she is about to undergo. Even though frail, sometimes older people have an incredible will and I am praying tonight that she will muster all of her strength and energy to sail through her surgery.
Even though our main thoughts are with your grandmother tonight, we cannot help but be delighted that you may be carrying H's baby! Oh, Tigger, even though your H sounds like a wonderful man, I know what it would mean to you to be able to say to him that you are having his baby. Then you both could heal completely from the A and the memories of the OM.
I am also praying that is the case. But, either way, from what you have said you have a gem of a guy and your new baby will bring you both many blessings including a stronger marriage with a renewed sense of commitment.
Either way you can't lose. Good luck with grandma tomorrow.
- Heavenly

Update on Grandmother:
Well, I got off the phone with my mother about an hour ago. My Grandmother had some complications during surgery, but has come out of it pretty good, so far. During surgery, they had hoped to do it without putting her on the heart/lung machine. Well, one of the by pass areas was on the back side of the heart. While they were working on that area, her heart started to beat sporatically. They had to shock her heart, and then decided to place her on the heart/lung machine. She had to have an extra 4 units of blood during the surgery, and has had an additional 3 since after the surgery. She had to stay on the resporator until around 4 this morning. My mother says that she is doing a lot better, but since she had to be put on the machine, her full recovery time will be longer( about a month). She will spend at least one more day in the ICU, and then about a week in the hospital. The nurses told my mother that they just love my Grandmother. She is a very easy patient. My mother told them not to let her tell them that she is "OK" or doesn't need anything special. My Grandmother is the type of person who feels like she is taking advantage when it is something done routinely.
If you could continue to pray that she recovers well, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Tigger
Short update on Grandma. I just spoke with my mother, and we need to pray for my Grandma again. She has had some complications with the medication for her heart palpitations. The doctors say it is normal to have them after open-heart surgery, but the medicine has caused her bloodpressure to go too low, and is now required to lay flat on her back. She is out of ICU, but in a step above just the regular hospital care. My mom said that there are more nurses to take care of this type of patient. Also pray for my Grandma's spirit, it is starting to sag with all the complications, and time in the hospital. I so wish that I could be there to hug her and tell her in person that I love her and am praying for her. Other than that small setback, she is still doing well, considering. Thank you all so much for your concern and prayers.
Tigger
