Dear Carolyn,
Single parent families can also be wonderful -- it really depends on the parent. In your case, even if your H does not fully participate in your boys' lives, you will hvae enough love to get them through the rough spots and let them grow up to be well-adjusted, fine young men.
Every post of yours has illustrated what a compassionate and caring person you are. Such qualities are priceless and if your H did not appreciate them and hold them in the highest regard then he is the jack**s.
love,
heavenly

Thanks Heavenly. I am begining to realize that I have been running a single parent home for some time now anyway (with my H here). The fear is subsiding. I do appreciate your words of encouragement.
I am begining to feel like we should all met at a beach house somewhere with our kids. What a weekend we could have!

Bringing this to the top for LOUIS. Just so you don't have to search through a lot of the nasty stuff that was happening on the board at the time this was last near the top.
Tigger

Thank you, Tigger, for digging this out of the dusty archives for Louis and others who may need to read this. It is one of the best threads I've ever seen on this subject and a real eye-opener for those WS's who feel that they must put their family of origin aside for OC.
Catnip >^..^<

I just saw a military chaplain yesterday and I shared with him how the women on this board struggle so with the "what is right" question.
His answer: there is NO ONE right answer for everyone. It depends on the particular people involved in each situation. For some, contact with the XOP is so destructive it would bring down the marriage...
There you have it folks: something we all knew, agreed upon by a religious leader. Jenny, I agree with you. There is no, one, correct answer, for every situation is so different. I admire so many of the MW on this board, who were betrayed, and have bigger hearts than me. ember
