Well, what I thought was just going to be an hour or two, turned out to be all morning with some crazy/scary things going on. I went in today, due to some pain at the top of my uterus that is very localized, but also quite painful when touched, or the baby moves at that part of the uterus. I just wanted to be sure to rule out any possible complications, which they did, and it is something that I will just have to deal with for the next 5 1/2 weeks. Now for the scary part, while I was waiting for the baby to stay in one possition to get at least 20 min of heart monitoring, I all of a sudden became light headed, had a major hot flash, and then couldn't breath, and my hands, arms, legs and feet became numb and tingly. The only thing the doctors could think of was that I was on my back and the baby was cutting off the return blood supply to my heart. After laying on my left side for a couple min, the baby's heart rate returned to normal, and I began to feel better. The doc told me to go lay down in the "Father's Waiting room" where it was more comfortable(busy day in L&D)and while there, I developed my classic symptoms of a migraine, which includes stroke like symptoms, and partial loss of vision. I had to have a neighbor come out and drive me home. I am feeling much better, but it wasn't fun, due to the fact that my H is gone till the 28th. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Sorry to complain, and I know that you all have a lot more major things going on. I just wanted to get this out, to keep me from going crazy, and keep from crying. I hate being so emotional right now. Thanks for "listening"
Tigger

Well, for certain everytime that I have a moment of regret at having my tubes tied after four children, I can come back and read your post and be reminded how frightening pregnancy actually can be.
Seriously though, hope everything is going well. It won't be long now til you have a precious baby that will make this all worthwhile.
With love, cd

Dear Tigger:
What a frightening experience you had at the hospital today. Maybe you shouldn't have gone home and stayed where professionals could keep an eye on you. I hope you told your doctor what was going on. the 28th is quite a way away; is there someone who can stay with you, a sister or a friend, until your husband gets back? You don't want to jeopardize your ehalth or the child's.
You're in my prayers, Tigger. Take care of yourself and try not to get too upset...that sometimes causes physical reactions.
Catnip =^^=

CD,
Thank you for your concern. Yes, this baby is, and will be very precious, even though she is very trying at times already [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Catnip,
I have neighbors "on alert" that are very close by. My next Dr. appointment is this Friday, and I will be discussing this with him at that time. We go to a military hospital, so when I go in to L&D, I'm not guaranteed to see my own doctor. I will definately be asking to have another ultrasound, as the pain is still there when touched, or the baby moves.
I am having the kids do things for me, and love them very much for it!! They are angels to put up with Mommy's complaining, and touchiness. They made me want to cry when I prayed with them at bed time, and they both got up on their knees on the beds to kiss me good night, since I couldn't bend over very well. I let my H know through email, and so he is anxiously waiting for Fri as well to see what the Dr. has to say.
They did monitor me for about an hour after my little episode, and found that my vitals and the baby's heart rate were perfectly normal, so I felt comfortable coming home where I could be more comfortable than on those uncomfortable beds and couches. I haven't had any more problems with the numbness, sweating, trouble breathing, or dizzyness, and I promise that if I do, I will have my friends take me right then. They live maybe 30 seconds away [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Thank you again for your concern, and letting me worry to you guys!! It really helps calm me down and be able to relax better. I will let everyone know what the doc says after my appointment on Fri.
Love,
Tigger

tigger, I liked what I read during one of my pregnancies, that when a woman gives birth, she "goes to the other side and brings the baby back" in spirit. But don't be spending too much time there! Seriously, my prayers are with you and your family. These things are really frightening at the time (I got an ambulence ride during my last miscarriage and really wondered if I might die.) You've already been through so much, surely God has something nice planned for your future.
Angel wings flying your way,
J

Just a quick update. I had my regular Dr appointment this afternoon. It is so much nicer seeing your regular doctor. They usually give you the straight answers, instead of "it might be this, or that". My Dr. said that the pain is my abdominal muscles seperating. I asked if that could cause problems with labor or delivering, and he said as long as it doesn't get worse. Another thing I like about this doctor is he told me to just take it easy. Of course, my H wasn't at the appointment to hear him say that [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] I did get to talk to my H this evening. It surprized me, cause I was actually just getting ready to email him about the appointment when the phone rang. We couldn't talk long, but he feels better about being away, and not as nervous. I am seeming to remember that these last 5 weeks always go so slowly!! There will be 2 other times between when my H gets back and the due date where he will have to leave for a couple days at a time. Just pray that things work out so that he is here when I do go into labor. That is my biggest fear right now. Yes, I've done this 3 times before, but it's no fun doing it alone, or with just a friend, and not your husband. Even your mother isn't as good as a stand in. Ok, I am rambling, and if I don't stop now, I don't think I ever will stop!!!
Tigger

Tigger, good to hear things are going better. I think it gets harder the more you have than easier. I always thought it was going to be the other way around. What did you find out about the blood deal? with love flowerseed

When I wrote about the blood thing, it was a Nurse Practitioner who had tried to explain it to me, and she was just trying too hard. At the next appointment, after that one, with my regular Dr., we asked him what it meant, and if it could have anything to do with the same problem our other children had. My regular Dr. is the only one who knows exactly what is going on, and it is going to stay that way. Well, he said that there was no way to test for that specific problem until after the baby is born. He still pointed out that, even thought it is a small one, there is still the chance it is my H's. My Dr. is so cool. Either way, this child is my H's, cause he's the only daddy she will know, and being a daddy is so different from being a "bio-father". I'll hang in there, and we will get through this.
Tigger

I'm due March 25th, and the ultrasound showed a girl, but they say not to go out and buy all pink stuff. It's hard to believe there are only 5 weeks left!! I am now starting to get nervous about the delivery [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Tigger

Tigger:
You are going to give birth to an Aries female! It is one of the most dynamic signs for women in the zodiac. They are passionate and attractive, loaded with charm and big ideas.
Your due date is the same as my husband's birthday...you're in for an exciting time with your Aries daughter...if it is a boy, then you will have a dynamic son with charisma and ambition. Either way, you win.
Catnip =^^=

Get this Catnip, my birthday is March 30!!! Yet another Aries to be in the family. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] But, if this pregnancy goes as my other 3, this baby will be born on the 20th. And that is 2 days after mine and my H's anniversary(12 yrs)! Each of my children were born 5 days before their due dates. Weird, huh? Oh well, as long as my H is home when I go into labor. The next dates for him to be gone are March 6-9 and 13-16. He will be home in 10 days, how I miss him. This is the longest he's been gone since D-day, and it's been lonely, and hard, since I am so large! The kids are still being great and helping out, but they are still kids, and have their moments!!! Look at me, I am babbling again. I'll say "Goodnight" now!!
Tigger
