This morning I had the chance to go to our men's prayer breakfast and receive a most unexpected blessing.
A pastor recently lost his wife to cancer and while he and his kids were going to the cemetery a big eighteen wheeler pulls up next to them at a stop light. When the big truck pulls even with their car it casts a shadow on it. The pastor tells his kids that this is similar to the situation they are going through in that they are going through a dark period in their life. He said what they need to be thankful for during this time is that they were just in the shadow and that the truck didn't hit them.
How true this is. Sometimes I am guilty of thinking how bad off I am and that this has to be the worst thing that has ever happened to anyone in the whole world. Then God reveals to me that I don't have it so bad after all. Even coming here to MB makes me realize that there are so many that have it worse than me. I was almost brought to tears this morning by this story and will try and put my situation and others I will encounter, in the proper perspective. Take care friends, you are not alone, HE is with you.
Floored

Floored,
Hard as it seems today, I agree with your pastor.
