I'm not sure exactly what to ask for in this request. My H just got back yesterday, and will be gone most of next week as well. I have been having a few contractions each day, some pretty hard ones, some not. I'm not due for another 3 weeks, but my history with the other 3 deliveries were a week early with each. I guess the major request is that when my H leaves next Tues, the baby waits till they get back, either Fri or Sat. After that, he should be here till the second week of April. When he does go out, he's not sure if there will be any way for him to get back here if I do go into actual labor. He doesn't think the Navy will spend the money to send a helicopter out to the ship. Due to the uncertainty of the schedule, and him getting back here if they are out, I am getting quite nervous. I just don't want to go through this without my H.
On a brighter note, it was wonderful to have him home again. The kids came with me to pick him up from the ship, which was a surprise for him. We went to dinner, and then walked around Sears for a little bit(trying to get labor going ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) ) The kids love having daddy home again. It was a very long 2 1/2 weeks. I got many kisses, hugs, and he also kissed my HUGE belly!
Again, just pray that my H will be able to be here for the delivery, and for me to not be too nervous.
Thanks,
Tigger

dear Tigger4jdt,
I was just thinking about posting and asking how you're doing now that the final countdown is on.
You've got my prayers.
May I make a rather ridiculous suggestion? Watch a boxing movie. When i was pregnant with my first son, we rented 'Rocky 5" It had just come out on video then. As soon as the movie started, my contractions began. We turned it off and my contractions stopped. We turned it back on and they started up again, and I went into full blown labor. it wasn't until several weeks later that I actually got to see the whole movie. now, you may see this as an isolated incident - I know I did. However, last time I was at Barnes and Nobles I picked up a book that was supposed to be a men's guide to pregnancy. In the back section, the author related how his wife went into labor while watching "Raging Bull" on TV. A few years later when she was pregnant again and getting close to her due date, they rented "Raging Bull" as a joke. And for the SECOND TIME she went into labor during it. I couldn't believe it. If you choose to go this route, I suggest you get "Rocky" (the very first one) because:
1. it is the best of any of them
2. the romantic aspects of the Rocky/Adrian relationship may put you in the mood for romance of your own - yet another thing that has been known to induce labor is sex.
good luck. I will pray very hard that baby tigger waits until daddy is home to arrive.
with love and best wishes,
cd

Dolphin,
Thanks for your prayers. They are much needed and apreciated.
CD,
Well, as for movies, my H and I are going to go see Hanibal tomorrow night. That may succeed in jumpstarting the labor too. We are also planning on doing quite a bit of walking this weekend.
I will keep you all informed, or my H will, if any of this stuff works ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Thanks again,
Tigger

Tigger,
You have had so many blessings this last one surely has to go your way. You and your H lost and found each other again. And the child you are about to give birth to will be the symbol of that renewed faith and love. There is no way that your H will not be at your side when the little one makes her first appearance!
We are all asking God to either speed it up or slow it down. Comfort and blessings to you as the time draws near.
Love
- heavenly

tigger, my prayers for you and your baby!! i hope that the baby comes when you want it too. and when daddy is there to be with you during the delivery. tell him to get a cold and fake being sick so he can stay home... he can miraculously recover when baby is born. LOL. anyway, enjoy having sailorman home, it is hard when they are away.
happy_girl

I have my regular Dr. appointment this afternoon, and we are going to see what the doc has to say. We may just fib a little, and get him to induce next week. That would definately keep Hubby home. I'm afraid that a cold probably wouldn't do it, but it is good advice. I watched "Enter the Dragon", but that didn't work, we'll try "Hanibal" tonight, maybe the tension from that movie will do something for me, you think? ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) I've also heard the chamomile tea can do it, and I have a friend who gets the pure stuff. I'll let you all know what the doc says.
Thanks for all your support, I can definately feel those prayers(unfortunately, not as labor yet ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif) )
Tigger

Ok, Here's a little update from my Dr. appointment. We almost thought that I would be going in for sure to be induced, because the Dr. suspected that I could have pregnancy induced hypertension. Well, they did all the blood tests(STAT) and the doc never called us back, which meant that everything was ok. I got a little nervous about that, just because it can be a dangerous thing. I am about 1 cm dialated, and starting to thin(about 25% effaced). But, I haven't had any normal contractions. Those that I have had are pretty strong, so things are trying to get started. They won't induce unless there is a medical reason, so keep up the prayers that I go into true labor by early Tues morning, or that it waits till late Sat morning(Mar 10). Although, H would really rather it be before Tues, he doesn't want to go back out this coming week. The doc also says that this is going to be another large baby, measuring about 7 lbs right now. Our current youngest was a 9 1/2 pounder. If, and hopefully I don't, I go full term, this one could be as big or bigger than that.
Catnip, you were right about the grizzlyness of the movie, but I liked it. Although, I only had one contraction through the whole thing. I guess I was concentrating too hard. This one seemed to be more thought provoking than the first one, but, yes, it had quite the blood and guts towards the end. As for names, if it's a girl, Abigail Rebakah, if it's a boy, Jacob Michael. We have been told from the ultra sound that there is an 80% chance it is a girl, so that's why we always say "she" or Abbi.
Thank you all for your prayers and support. We will keep you informed of anything major(hopefully Abbi's arrival)!
Tigger

tigger, we love the name abigail, especially the spanish pronounciation and the name abbi is so cute. but it doesn't go with our last name no we can't use it. bummer. so if it is a girl, i just love the name. i like jacob too. nice name.
happy_girl

Tigger:
I love the names! My daughter-in-law is creative with her daughters names too; Isabelle, Madeline and Amanda.
Looks like you'll be having a romantic and artistic Pisces daughter rather than an Aries fire and spit! Lucky you!
Happy Girl:
What is the Spanish pronounciation for Abigail?
Catnip =^^=

Tigger I for one love your boy's name. My son's name is Jacob too! Abigail is very pretty. Everything will be just fine Tigger. You and your family will be in my prayers as well as the safe delivery of Abigail (maybe Jacob!) too. Blessings being sent your way ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
