...and pray for us please.
Tomorrow we go in to establish my child support claim against my h. I am fairly confident that it will go smoothly, but I am still worried that there will be complications. I think that since we have established separate addresses- separate apartments - within the same house, it will be OK. I am hoping that they award me enough that h can have ow's claim reduced to a more resonable amount. This all may make the difference in whether or not we can hold on financially for a while longer.
Anyway, I am very nervous and would be much comforted in knowing that I have you praying for me.
This is one of those times where time itself just seems to be stopped. I don't know how I will be able to sleep tonight. i would feel so much better if I could skip ahead to the end of the month and have tomorrow and the visitation/custody hearing on the 19th over and done with.
-cd

Prayers being sent your way, CD. I hope that everything goes in your favor. I know that if it does, it will be a load off, if just a small one. I completely understand the time standing still feeling. I've been there since last weekend! Good Luck!
Tigger

cd:
I just rolled in the door and logged on to see you in need of prayers for tomorrow's "hearing".
cd, while you are in my prayers, as always, I must take a moment to remind you that you are the only one entitled to receive the lion's share of the support pie and if I were you, I would make no apologies for expecting this portion. In fact, work hard this evening and tomorrow morning psyching yourself up for the hearing and quickly develope an attitude of entitlement without being demanding...and above all, don't act scared even if you are.
Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. And I will pray, pray, pray.
Catnip =^^=
[This message has been edited by catnip (edited March 08, 2001).]

CD & Flowerseed,
I know, I know. Believe me, I am really trying to get this thing going!!! Actually, I told my H this morning that I am just not going to do anything about keeping track of contractions until they are a lot closer. They are still quite painful, and lasting more than a min, but they aren't consistant yet. I am 3 days from my 38th week, and will know a little more tomorrow afternoon. I have my appointment tomorrow at 3:45, and hopefully will have more news at that time. Nothing else to report at this time. Maybe our walk later this evening will succeed.
Tigger

Everybody,
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Just knowing that you all are rooting for me gives me strength. You know how some cereals are fortified with iron? that's how I feel. Fortified with iron from the friendship I have with you.
Last night on TV we watched a show about a difficult birth in which the mother died. It reminded us both of the time I went to the ER having a miscarriage. This happened about a year after the affair ended. My h was in the waiting room with our sons and couldn't go in along with me. After nearly 2 hours, the hospital chaplain came out to talk with him and tell him that I had lost the baby. The chaplain didn't realize that my h had already been told by my obstetrician that the baby had died in utero. So he came out and said, "Mr. Collins., I'd like you to sit down for a minute. I have some sorrowful news to tell you about your wife..." My h, in the few seconds that followed, thought that I had died from complications. In that brief moment of fear and devestation, he broke out in huge red welts all over his face and neck. For several days after that he looked like he had some kind of horrible disease. I told a friend about it the next day, and she said (in her NC slow sweet drawl), "Honey, don't you know that was love written all over his face." So as I go into this, I am reminded of how deep and true my h's love for me really is. so much so that the thought of losing me caused an immediate and immense physical reaction. Knowing that, I can get through this.
I have also decided that when all this ow/oc stuff is wrapped up that we will have to finally sit down and talk about the baby that died that day, as well as the one I lost in another miscarriage. The chaplain suggested that we give them names to help us recognize the loss and get on with healing. We never did, because i have not been able to talk about it that much, but I think that it is about time now. We didn't ask the doctors to determine the sex - although I'm pretty sure they had that information - because I was afraid that they were girls and I would be to upset that ow's daughter lived and mine didn't. But i know in my heart that I need to be able to call my lost children by name. Does that sound silly?
Right now it is snowing hard here and I am getting worried that the crappy mountain roads that lie between me and the domestic relations office 30 miles away will be unpassable, so I am fervently praying for divine intervention. I can't bear the idea of rescheduling this and starting the long agonizing wait all over again. If God won't stop the snow, perhaps He will send angels to guide and protect my car. Leelee, who is the patron saint of travelers? Whoever it is, put a bug in his/her ear about me, would you?
I will post again when I get back and let you all know what happened.
With love and sincere gratitude,
cd

Dear cd:
With Leelee praying to St. Bridget and the rest of us here praying and sending positive energy, you'll go into that meeting, armed with your own graceful spirit and God's will.
I didn't know you had lost two children, cd. I am so sorry for your losses. Jenny has suffered similar devastating losses and could help guide you through what you are going through.
God bless
Catnip =^^=

cd,
Thinking about you and your situation, strength be with you.
I have been reading your posts because I now I will soon face the issues of support and custody if my H is the father of the OW's child.
I am so sorry for the loss of your childern. I lost my first child at full term. I found out at a routine visit, they couldn't find a heartbeat. It was a very difficult thing to accept. We had prepared nine months for this baby and I did everything right for my health and the health of my baby. After we delivered we found that the cord was shorter than normal and Mathew had wrapped it around his ankle. The doctor said he basically went to sleep. This may not be what most people would do, but in privacy we spent some very precious time holding him after the birth, he was perfect except for a bruise on his ankle.
Sorry to ramble....I just wanted to assure you naming your children you lost is not silly. They were "real". God just decided that he needed them with him.
jessie
