I am looking for prayers, well-wishes, charms, voodoo, sacrificial offerings or whatever any of you can manage to offer up for our Friday telephone testimony with the judge in NY. We are appealing the mammoth, huge, colossol child support amounts they are extorting from us on a weekly basis.
Thanks
Catnip =^^=

I wish you the best of luck and all my good thoughts and prayers will be with you. I hope it gets lower. We will be filing to do this soon too. We can not deal with the close to 500.00 a month on our income. Peace and best wishes for Friday. GABI1116

Catnip, I will be praying for you this week. Ours is not astronomical yet, but I tell my H it is only a matter of thime. They decided the amount out of court. I feel she will eventually bring him to court for all this. I will be praying for you and your family this week. Hang in there.
NGU

Catnip,
I am sending you prayers and well wishes. I know that you have been waiting months for this day to come. I know that there has to be some light at the end of your tunnel. I will be thinking of you.
babstr.

My dear Catnip,
The voodoo and sacrificial offerings were awfully tempting (visions of the OW strapped to an altar of fire ... the stuff dreams are made of).
But, I will settle for the old-fashioned yet very effective method of asking God to cut you a break. After all you have been through and how you have used your incredible experiences to help others, I do not see how God can do otherwise.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you all week. And if you win this one, don't forget you will be hosting the First Annual MB Reunion at your house in the woods.
BTW, I hope you will post whenever you get a chance because I don't think I can stand six weeks without you!
love
- heavenly

Thanks NGU & Gabi for your support and prayers. It's a frightening thing to have $1600 garnished from your wages over a five week period and we are left with so little to live on. I've made copies of our divorce papers and final decree, the bankruptcy papers and the final judgments and all my husband's payroll statements where it shows over $300 taken from his check each week and submitted them to two counties. One county doesn't know what the other is doing so they are double dipping us for support! We pay support, then the other county garnishes his wages.
On top of all that, today we received a Notice for Hearing in the mail from Support and Collections saying he has to appear in court on the 18th of April to answer why he should not have his driver's license revoked. Huh?
Babstr: You do know how long this has been going on because you have been here so long yourself listening to me complain! But, Babstr, I do see light at the end of the tunnel... this move will provide a clean slate and a new beginning. We have managed to arrange things so life will be much, much easier from here on out.
Heavenly.....I don't think you'll miss me as much as I will miss you and the others here on this site. But, the first thing I will do when I get to my new home is to try to find service to hook up the the old Sony the first week in April and fire off a message to you. I just hope I am not so far into the forest where I can't get service! Carrier pigeon?
The movers come on 3-26, so I will be around intermittently until then. Just six weeks of popping in and out, I suppose, until the dust settles.
You're all so great to care so much and keep me in your prayers or Friday...thanks so much.
Catnip =^^=

Catnip, After reading this most recent post I now truely realize the magnitude and importance of this coming Friday even more. I can not help but think that the outcome has to be a positive one for you. There is no way two separate counties could be doing what they are doing and have it be legal and right. They will, I pray see the error in all this and things will be changed for you for the better. I am really going to pray extra hard. I truely felt a sense of disbelief and anger as I read you description of what the cs is actually doing to your family. I know in my state the driver's license thing has to do with lack of paying and arrears. Well once again my thoughts and prayers are with you. Peace, Gabi1116

Dear Catnip,
Your going away? Boy oh boy, where have I been?
I will pray for youevery time I think of it. What time is the hearing....maybe we can all say a prayer at the same time when it is supposed to begin and get a little extra God power going your way.
You have been such an inspiration to everyone on this board. You have helped so many see different ways to look at so many things and made some of us feel a little grateful for the ows that we do have, bc at least we didnt have yours....what I am saying is thanks for being here. I just wish Id have found this board sooner. It would be about time for you to be cut some slack.
Love and Prayers....
Michelle

Glynton-Gregg:
If your cat bit you, you probably had it coming...meow.
The Caribbean? I suppose some would think it preferrable to the north woods, but nothing beats where I am going in the summer.
Broken Wings: There you are again! I never know if we will ever hear from you again and then poof, there you are. Don't go anywhere, BW...you're always missed when you do.
Gem: I'll be praying for you, too, while you make your way through your journey and over the next few months. I know you will come out of this with a new awareness and understanding, regardless.
Tigger: You're still sitting on the nest waiting! You were supposed to have your baby yesterday!
Catnip =^^=

Catnip,
My bad old cat was missing for two weeks. I have called the spca and searched all over town for him. Then just as i was reading this post this morning, I heard him howling at the door. I think that it's a sign....
Oh I do pray that you and h make out better! I know how hard the financial end of this is and hope that you and I both get some well-deserved relief.
with love,
cd

Catnip,
You can count on me! I have sent a prayer to St. Nicholas of Myra who is the special protector of the innocent and wronged (before stories made him Santy Claus [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]).
Love ya!

Thanks, cd, for your positive thoughts and cosmic energy sent my way. I will use it wisely.
Your cat's sabatical was in no direct reflection on you, cd. The 'independence' made him leave; his affection for you made him come back...and a clean sand box, a bowl of Cat Chow and a scratch behind the ear. Purrrrrrrrr.
Leelee: My dear friend...I can always count on you to light the candles and pray to the appropriate saint for whatever dilemma we all face. (I did not know that St. Nick became the St. Nick of Christmas as well! What a revelation)
Love
Catnip =^^=
Catnip,
Actually, although my cat probably does feel some affection for me, i think that it is my third son that he loves enough to come back for. we got him (cat) when he(son) was just a couple weeks old too, so I think that the cat sees him as a litter mate. He will not allow any of the other boys to pet him at all, but he will let third son pick him up by the neck and pull his ears and bite his tail. We try to make him be as gentle as possible with the cat, but it's hard to catch him every time that he gets too rough, and cat will not reprimand him or even move away from him at all. He just drapes himself across son's lap and takes it all, lovingly. Now, once in a while, cat will climb up on my lap and let me love him - but he does it with a sense of duty, I know. sort of a payment for feeding him and looking after his needs. but third son, he could not live without. I think that if third son ever went to visit my parents overnight, and cat came back from one of his wanderings to find him missing - cat would just leave forever. He makes it pretty clear that third son is the only one he really loves and needs. Funny, huh?
One night, I ran out of cat food - I hadn't realized the box was so low, and I told cat that he would have to wait until morning to eat. That was during the summer when cat went in and out freely through an open window. Cat was not pleased that his food wasn't provided at the usual time (though he had eaten in the morning, and was not going to starve overnight). The next morning I came down to find my entire kitchen floor covered with blood and flesh and feathers. Cat had gone out and killed a bird and torn it apart all over the kitchen to express his disapproval of my behavior. But he never takes one swipe at third son, who torments him to no end. He is a strange creature.
Anyway, I know that God will come through for you in this. I have great faith in you getting what you deserve now.
love again,
cd

I had to jump in here....my cat, Lola is 16 yrs old. She is my cat only. Only lets me love her...only crawls on my lap for love....but she'll eat from whoever feeds her.
This whole mess has her very upset and depressed as I haven't been a loving mommy each day. Especially in the beginning. She's just different some days.
I love her to death. I get scared some days when I think of how old she is. Every a.m. when I start my computer she hops up next to me and I have to pet her before I do anything else! Lately she bites my arm if I quit petting her!(gently).
She's all black and short haired. Green eyes. Still adorable!
Debi
------------------
Imagine....

Catnip,
You will be in my prayers and thoughts constantly, something has to give. I just don't understand how all of this can happen. I just want to do something so bad to make all of this unfairness be accounted for! Then another part of me wants to leave and hide from such a messed up world/system. But I am feeling hardy and tough right now so I will send these feelings to you along with my prayers.
Love,
Carrie

Catnip,
Well, I can't say that I haven't tried, but the baby is showing how stubborn she is going to be. I have been getting more and more uncomfortable, almost to the point of constant pain, in some areas! Like they say, the baby will come when she is ready. At my last appointment, the doc said that she is about 7 1/2 -8 lbs, but he won't induce until I reach 39 weeks, which is this coming sunday(as well as our 12 anniversary) I don't know if any of you remember the Mervyn's commercial when the lady gets to the store really early, and taps her hands on the glass door saying "Open, open, open...". Well, my H has taken it upon himself to do that to my belly now [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] It makes us laugh when we start to get frustrated. He has taken leave from work until March 31. He basically is of no use to anyone at this time, wondering if I will be calling to tell him that we need to go to the hospital. We are still hoping that it will be very soon, as the baby is just getting bigger. I don't want to end up with a C-section.
Now, on a lighter note, we also have an interesting cat. She is a long haired, tortoise shell coloring, green eyed "Princess". Her name is Tortie, for all the good it does to use her name. She is completely deaf, and has been since birth. We didn't realize it for almost a year, just thought she was a very lazy cat. Anyway, my H calls her the million dollar cat, because it cost us so much to bring her here. Not quite a million dollars, but about $1000! Her quirks are to rub against your leg, and if you don't pay attention to her, she nips your ankles or toes! She also likes to eat the dog's food, while the dog sits like a vulture over her. We have a rotti-mix who actually has no other problem with the cat. We originally got the cat for our D when our D was 4, but the cat imprinted with me, so I am the one that can do just about anything to her. Although, she is a very social cat, we think it is due to her hearing loss, but you better not try to pet her when she is sleeping. If you startle her awake, she will attack your hands.
Just had to talk about my kitty like the rest of you. I will keep you all informed as to the rest of the situation, when the time comes. Thank you all for the continued prayers.
Tigger
