my husband recently informed me after 25 years of marriage, that most of it has been unhappy for him. He admitted to an affair 10 years ago and was "found out" comtemplating having another affair. He states that he no longer is "in love" with me but would never want to see anything bad happen to me or our 2 children. States that all will stay the same as far as house, finances, etc. so that I will never be uncomfortable in my live situation but he cannot be a part of my daily live here. He wants a temp. separation with the understanding that he may "date" but does not want to give his agreement to a divorce at this time. What to do?

Sorry to say it sounds as if he is probably involved with someone at this time.
States that all will stay the same as far as house, finances, etc. Until it bothers him.
Go post over in the General Questions II forum. Not many people look in here.
Right now don't make any rash decision until you read up on some things and learn a bit more.

He wants to have his cake and eat it too. If you are going through MB, then separation is Plan B. Let him separate, that gives both of you time to think. Maybe even some counseling, to get to the issue of why he feels this way. The if he still wants to leave, then I think you should get a divorce. You should not put your life on hold because he gave you "the kids" excuse. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Fee-Fee
