My h just got his first paycheck since my claim came in and I got my fist cs check. Because they couldn't take the full amount for both - which would have been about 80% of h's pay - they took what they could and approportioned it between me and ow. I, of course, got the lion's share and poor little ow got a substantailly smaller amount than she has been accustomed to. She ended up with only about 40% of her normal amount. so much more money ended up in our pockets.
Oh, how I will love finding out what her reaction to this is. Wait until she figures out that her 'take" is going to be permanently reduced!
Not only that, but we just found out that she has to pay one half of the $300.00 mediation fee. Probably legal services will jump in and pay it for her, but she has to get it in one way or another within 25 days or it's an automatic contempt of court.
They say "revenge is a dish best served cold" but regardless of how it was served, I'll bet she is steaming!
cdcollins
[This message has been edited by cdcollins (edited March 22, 2001).]

Good for you! I'd like to be a fly on the wall when she opens up that check! My H's exow gets way too much from him.THey have never been to court. He refuses to take her.Just gives her what he thinks. Th e last 2 months he cut the amount in half and she has been calling like crazy. Poor thing! She just might have to work more than 9 hours per week.HEHEHEHEHE!

CD,
That is just great news!! I'm still getting caught up on my reading, and just read this post. I hope things continue to go your way in this. It will be such a help to have that money coming back to you instead of lining this OW's pockets! Keep us informed on the mediation. Do you have a date for it yet? Let me know so that I can pray for you guys!
Love,
Tigger

Does anyone know a good web site for calculating cs? I'm in NC. I have found one but it doesn't tell you how to calculate obligation for children at home.
Jtigger

Cd, Happey news for you!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha ha to that $ hunger ow. Wish I could get this to happen to our ow. And to think my stupid sil did not even think my h was paying enough. She burns me up and she is going to law school now. Well at least she is not going into family law, she would not be an asset to any of our h. Gabi1116
