We just blew into town to get ready for the latest telephone testimony scheduled for tomorrow morning...Leelee, light a candle and say a prayer. This hearing will determine if we can have our lives back or remain on the lam...in Cicely, Alaska. (For those of you not addicted to a cult series, Northern Exposure, Cicely is a mythical town in Alaska)
The internet and cable line going to the house up north is cobbled up and needs to be replaced. The cable company will be out next week to replace it; and the former owner is in a world of trouble for bootlegging cable for a decade. Yikes.
So, it looks like I will not have access to my computer for another week. The only reason I am online right now is because we didn't take the computer with us in the initial move because we were afraid this would happen and knew we would be back in town for this testimony.
The move went very well, but it ended up costin us an additional $400 that was tough to come up with. I hate being broke at this age and stage. Not having money is new to me. Hopefully after tomorrow this will change...(?)
We managed to get the furniture in and set up, linens put away, dishes washed and put away, even went through old clothes and boxed them up for Goodwill. We are almost settled...even have pictures on the wall. The last thing to settle in is the office and the computer which we will work on when we get back.
I've read many of the threads and so much is going on. I was disappointed to see your husband is still gone, Gem. And cd, you explained to nonplussed so well the position of so many of us here...it is so logical, just common sense...why is this so hard for so many to fathom?
I just wanted to check in and say hi and let you all know I really miss you all and look forward to being back online soon.
Before I go to bed I want to read the rest of the threads.
Love to you all
Catnip =^^=

Catnip how good to hear from you! Glad the move went fine and it seems like most everything is in place.
Good luck and prayers for your tetephone hearing. Let us know as soon as you can how things went, ok?
My H is being totally stubborn. Not reading a letter I sent telling him what I can and can't put up with. He says he will only talk to me not read a letter. I don't want to blow up over this and can't discuss this without strong emotions flying around, you know?
I'm in limbo. I know he's leaving Wed. for North Carolina on a golf trip w/his league for 5 days.
He hasn't called since Sat.
He sent paycheck in a stupid "how are you?" card and only asked how my surgery was doing....The girls.... didn't sign with love....just his name.
I think he's thinking it's better to go our seperate ways so not to further hurt me.
Haven't called a lawyer yet. I may in the next few weeks.
For now I try to keep busy. This is killing me. Like a nightmare I can't wake from.
Debi
------------------
Imagine....

Good to have you back, if only for a moment. Hope everything goes well with hearing. I will pray VERY hard that all goes well so that you two don't have to do the "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" routine.
with love,
cd

Catnip,
We go today to sign the papers for our little love nest in the woods. Got the money yesterday from the bank it all went through fine with no problems. We are cutting down pine trees about 200 so we have a road to get back to the woods. I called a dear farm to see if they want them they got to get back with me. My h got the camper back that I loved so much this week. H sold it when his fall from grace began it had always bothered me. I loved that camper. We had bought it form my dad just before he had died my dad had gutted it out and remodeled it and its not like your normal camper. Anyhow the guy that bought it was willing to trade a car hauling trailer for it . So all we got to do now is get all them pesky pine trees out of the way so we can move our little love nest into the woods.I think this is going to be really good for us we used to have so much fun making it all comfy with candles and comforters blah blah blah. This time I can set it all up and leave it not have to move it. I'm going to have a ball. In about 10 or so yrs when Mariah grows up we will build a new house.We will all be thinking of you and praying this time your court thing happens and goes your way. with love flowerseed

Flowerseed:
Sounds like you've found your little piece of heaven, too. There is something to be said for the serenity and beauty of the forests. I am so thrilled things worked out so well for you and you got your wodnerful camper back.
Hey, one more thing, Flowerseed. I have to tell ya, I admire your protective instincts here on the site. You're so territorial scoping out intruders and your dedication to keeping our site safe by inviting the interlopers to leave and go to sites that would suit them. Hahaha...you're a terror.
Gem: I hate that you are going through this. But, this nightmare will end someday, one way or the other. I can't help but think his behavior is calculated to manipulate you into acquiescing to his demands by Plan B'ing you in the hopes that you will miss him so much and get so wigged out by his show of lack of emotion and distancing, that you will agree to anything to get him back. What he doesn't realize is that you may not be buying into this and he may be playing a dangerous game...and playing it too long.
If I had a crystal ball, I believe it would tell us that someday very soon, he will wake up and realize what a horrible, horrible mistake he has made. I bet it makes him crazy that you do not respond to his notes or call him.
cd, thanks for the good vibrations and prayers. They seemed to help as the judge was very solicitous to my husband today and seemed to be on his side against the OW and her attorney. The attorney called for my husband to be incarcerated even though we have been paying semi-regularly since he went back to work in addition to the huge chunks of arrears garnished from his check every week.
The judge told the OW and her attorney "There is no reason to incarcerate Mr. Furface. Why, he has been paying regularly for months!"
Still, nothing was really resolved and we are left hanging once again. However, we did find out that our state will not pickup my husband and put him in jail, nor will they revoke his license. In fact, the case worker in our state is contacting the OW's state and bowing out of the case all together as there is so much confusion with two states and counties fighting over the money and not knowing what to do with it or how to record the payments.
So, for now, we are still Ward and June Cleaver and not Bonnie and Clyde. Reminds me of a joke: When was the first time sex was on TV? On "Leave It To Beaver" when June asked Ward at breakfast, "Ward, weren't you a little hard on the Beaver last night?" Hahaha
Catnip =^^=

My dear Catnip,
You are the only person I know who could defame June and Ward Cleaver and get away with it! You have been missed more than you can imagine, but I am so glad that things seem to be going your way -- both the house and the courts.
Since you are not "out of the woods yet" (pun intended) then I will keep you in my prayers and I look forward to having you back on a regular basis to straighten us all out with the "Wisdom of Cat-agonia" ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) !
love
- heavenly
[This message has been edited by heavenlybody26 (edited March 30, 2001).]

Heavenly! Mon frer! I've been reading your wonderful posts and find such comfort in the word from on high. You sound wonderful by the way. Is all well in your world?
I look forward to talking with you again. I started a new thread tonight on the latest chapter in the on-going drama of absurdity.
I miss you, too. I am hoping for a link to the outside world next week and will post as soon as it is a reality.
Love
Catnip =^^=

Where's Happy Girl?
If you're out there, HG, I am remaining steadfast in my position regarding no OC involvement. Not ever, Nada. Zip. Won't happen. Not in any of my nine lives.
Catnip =^^=

What a funny way of seeing that sentence.
As far as the chrystal ball....I wish I could peek into it too.
H told my son he'd agree to 3rd party but ow may not! Since when does she get all the control? Why didn't he write to tell me that?
Who knows.
I see Dr. Tuesday and am asking for increase in sera-fem(prozac) to 20 mg. to keep my heart from leaping out of my chest!
Debi

------------------
Imagine....

Thanks catnip,
I always was one to stick up for the kids in school when the big bad bully dumb a**es would pick on them. It seems to be a part of me that will forever be. Funny that was one of the things that drew me to my h his protectiveness towards people in need.I think he took that just a little to far dont ya think!
Gem, I to got a kick out of the beaver. Also about fell out of my chair about the new topic just read any thoughts from someone w/penis ! Ha HA just forgot to say anything. Your h might have said something like I dont even know if ow will agree to 3 rd party blah blah blah. Its real easy to jump to conclussions. I did that all the time thinking the worst possible things. I still do it just not nearly so much and when I do the emotions are not no where near what they were in the beginning.Ya know like wanting to murder someone.I cant even stand to hear h say her name it makes me feel like he shoudnt even have that right. You know whats even worse its my 16 yr olds name and the ow my ex was chasing after when I left him also had the same name. EEEHHH GADS Gem hope ya find that crystal ball I want to peek in it.Its a beautiful day out today my flowers are starting to bloom spring has finally sprung. Yhee Haaaa with love flowerseed
[This message has been edited by flowerseed (edited March 31, 2001).]
