I was just wondering exactly how many children would be concieved in affair situations if there was a binding legal contract a man could ask his affair partner to sign stating "should a child be born of the relationship and the OW decides to keep the child without the man agreeing to it in writing, the man would not be responsible for cs ? " I mean we women have choices and the final decision is ours. While for me abortion could never be an opion, adoption could.
Of course I doubt many men would ask a woman to sign, because the he most likely wouldn't get any sex from the woman.
Ahh, just another crazy coffee and dough-nut inspired thought.
------------------
Deb
Hepatitis C, Please educate yourself ! <A HREF="http://www.hepatitis-central.com/
In" TARGET=_blank>http://www.hepatitis-central.com/
In memory of a very dear friend http://fathom.org/teemingmillions/wally.adp

What I would like to see is how many ow would get pregnant if their were laws in place that children born of extramarital affairs did not get child support. I'll bet either the affairs wouldn't take place to begin with, or the ow would be super careful with birth control. If nothing else, I bet there would be a huge upsurge in adoption numbers. As it is, the ow have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain by having/keeping the child of a married man.
good to hear from you bozos_deb. You always come up with neat ideas!
cdcollins

Deb, old friend...pour me a cup, black, and pass the plate...I'll have the French Crueller.
Great idea, Deb. You draft the agreement and send me a copy. I'll forge OW's name and send it to the courts...hahahaha. How you feeling lately? (I know, I know, with your hands, right?) No seriously, you doing OK?
cd, I promise with all my heart, that once we are settled from the move and the computer is hooked up, I will write to all the representatives, congressmen, senators (even Sen. Paul Welfare, er...Wellstone) in my state, and even that old bonehead Jessie. Maybe all of us on this site could start preparing letters to submit within a week's time frame for greater impact. We'll synchronize our watches for maybe May 15th or June 1...or if you have a better time frame in mind, we can shoot for that.
Catnip =^^=

Gabi:
Yes, Gabi, I do mean our infamous Guv, Jessie the "Mind" Ventura. He's sold us out for self engrandisement, but what did the sheep that voted him in expect from a self promoting Neanderthal? Right now he is muscling in a light rail system in a corridor no one uses. It will be a boondoggle costing the taxpayers bazillions...but, hey! at least he will have made a name for himself!
As for a rough draft of the "letter" to use as a guide for all of us to send to our state reps, I bow to cd's extraordinary talents and big brain to fashion an outline for us to follow. She wrote a brillant one a few weeks ago and posted it for us to use...perhaps she can scare it up for us once again and bring it to the top. cd????
Catnip =^^=

Hey great idea...I stumbled upon a group of lawyers on the net that stand for strict moral issies and take to court and fight for those who have been wronged. I looked at their website and allthough they have never had a case such as ours I wonder if they would support it.....they state that the family unit is what holds the country together. I will see if I can find it again and let yall go see for yourselves.
Love
bw

I am all for these laws and letters!!!!
its all about the single mothers (who choose to be that many lie about birth control)i beleive adoption would be best in these situations and if they CHOOSE on their own to have and keep ababy then THEY should be responsible if they cant financially do that without taking from OUR families
im seious i dont think we will be able to continue to make our mortgage when we pay
she makes the same as him but he Has to pay her???when we have children to support too
these poor guys (married or not) who get caught up in this mess have no rights the right to pay
Remember , teach your sons.....CONDOMS!!!!!
mine claims to have used them maybe they dont always work
yeah she was on the pill too
WHAT A MIRACLE this baby is (especially since they only did it twice)
im in a diferent state EVERYONE needs to try to do something about this
You are so right!! I'm trying my wings at being more involved with this board. I read (lurk) every day, but rarely post. I've decided that I need to reach out more and maybe that will help the healing. I'm even trying a new counselor tomorrow (at H's insistance)
Anyway,great thought! I think that those responsible should have to accept the consequences of their actions instead of the rest of us who are stuck dealing with the consequences of OTHER PEOPLE"S actions!

Love, anniem
