You're married to a mechanic too? I'm starting to feel like I have a twin out there -We are both named Donna, both married to grease monkeys, and we both live in PA. How odd is that?
We should really get together for lunch sometime - maybe meet in the middle somewhere between up here in North PA and down there by the md/de line. Like maybe route 150 somewhere (I think it's route 150 - I'm not real great at remembering road names).
cdcollins

Hi CDCollins,
Yeah I noticed we were both in PA. You probally mean
I80, that cuts through the middle of our fine state.
I lived for years in NCentral PA, its beautiful up there.
Now we are in Mennonite/Amish country. I like it except
for the OP living too close. We hope the place she rents
will sell and she'll move on!
One of the things that attracted me to my H was how
hard working he seemed and that he ran his own business.
I noticed right away that he didnt have those semi-naked
calendars that so many shops have. I commented on that.
My dad was also self-employed and I admired his tenacity.
So one of my first thoughts (besides this guy is good -
looking AND works hard) was how much I could do for him.
From day one I knew I'd make him a good wife. I wanted
to work with him, make his life easier.
Now he tells me everyday that he's so happy we are married.
But my finding comfort in this forum scares him a bit.
He feels uncomfortable about my telling our secrets.
I said I wouldnt even be here if you would have turned
her down! We went thru a few sessions of counseling but
that got expensive. I feel this is free therapy so I
dont lose it completely. To know Im not alone!!!
I probably wont be on again tonite but will check tomorrow.
How about this summer? It's a few hour drive to I80 from
here. Take care!

My h gets a little edgy about me "telling secrets" here too, but he has come to realize that the more i work through here, the less grief he has to deal with.
This summer sounds great - if indeed summer ever comes. We are still getting snow up here. Do you believe that?
cdcollins

Hi cd,
Even the kids are probably getting tired of the snow!
Yes I cant wait til the weather breaks - we love getting
out. Growing plants is therapy for me and keeps the kids
busy.
Since I've been posting here again I've noticed that
I'm not as moody and angry. It was getting bad, I was
soooo mad at her for the choices she made; at my h for
what he did, at life for being so f***ed up. But I know
in my heart that it can ALWAYS get worse so I'd better
concentrate on what is good in my life before I lose that
too!
I still hate living with this knowledge and worry about
the future, whether or not she will come after us for
cs. She can if she does it the legal way and we will then
fight for visitation. My h does not want anything to do
with op or oc. I strongly feel that if we have to pay for
oc then we will have a say in how he's raised or he will
grow up to be yet another aimless, angry young man.
We are trying our best to raise our kids with compassion,
morals, and respect. This bullsh*t does not fit in the
picture at all! But we'll make it work if she wants to
be paid for being a wh*re. I told her that my H should
have just given her 5 bucks when he was done and then
she would have known what he truly thought of her.
Instead an innocent life somehow came out of it...
and the repurcussions on my children infuriate me.
How do we prepare them for this? I still cant figure that
one out. I hope we dont have too.
Well just had to get that off my chest. Hope your little
one isnt in much pain today. Good luck with your gram!
