Last night one of my 8 year old's playmates came over and knocked on our front door. My 3 year old was excited to see him and decided to knock back. He pounded his fist on the pane of glass in the middle of the door and it shattered. glass broke and fell all around him. One piece sliced his wrist very deeply and hit an artery. I called 911. Ended up ok. They sedated him and gave him stitches and he's going to be all right. We were able to bring him home after they made sure he wasn't goingt o have any ill effects from the sedation.
Then, I got home and called my mom to tell her,, and it turns out she had just gotten back from taking my gram to the hospital. She is in intensive care with heart failure. She has had a bad heart for years and there is nothing more they can do but make her comfortable. I can't go to see her until tomorrow and I am hoping she's still alive by the time I get there.
Anyway, none of that is oc related, but I would really appreciate your prayers. I am a big mess right now. Thanks.
-cd

cd:
I'm so sorry about your Gram. You and your Gram and your family are in my prayers.
Leelee and I were just discussing Grandparents recently as she just lost her Nana not long ago and I lost my beloved Grandfather a year ago, so we know the sadness you feel and how much she means to you. Leelee is lighting candles and we are all praying for you and your Gram.
I'm so relieved your son is OK. When they get hurt and there is so much blood, it always looks like they are bleeding to death. So frightening. I'm sure your son will always "knock on wood" rather than glass from now on.
Love
Catnip =^^=

CD My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I too have little ones and have only been in an emergency room once for her passing out. No major cuts yet.
I know the frustration of hearing that all you can do is make your grandma comfortable now. I hope you are able to see her. God Bless...
NGU

CD,
I am so sorry that I haven't replied until now! I had a busy day yesterday, and didn't get a chance to go online and lurk.
I am praying now for your grandma! I know how it feels when you can't make it to see them right away! I really wanted to be with my grandma, and family, when she went through her open heart surgery in Jan. I hope you have been able to see her today, and will pray for her to have peace.
I am glad that your son is ok. I have been to the er for both our S and D for stitches. Our son cut his knee to the bone, and our daughter got bit by a dog. It's not fun dealing with the little ones and stitches. It is very scary for them, and mom too [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Again, I am sorry that I didn't read this yesterday, but will be praying for you and your grandma.
Love,
Tigger
