Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing and let you know that I am still here. I have performances this weekend and next weekend for the production that I am in, so the weekends are full until we close next weekend. My picture was in one of our newspapers yesterday for the production that I am in! It was soooo exciting!!! H said, "Well, it's good that your picture isn't in there for a major CRIME after the way this week has gone." I thought that was a very humerous but accurate comment! Ha ha! The days have been up and down, but I am managing. I have to leave soon for my performance tonight, but I will check in later and write more about what is and is not going on. I hope that all of you are doing well and taking care of yourselves!!!
Hugs,
~Irish

Hey Irish,
You seem to be doing better today! I am glad to hear that you found humor in your H's comment about the picture in the paper. Keep up the good work, and keep us informed.
Love,
Tigger

Well, it's been an up and down weekend, mostly just my general mood has been pretty out of control. I am happy when I am going to do something I like to do, and I can get my mind off of "things". I just get really frustrated and dumpy when I feel like it's all back in my face again. H talked to SIL today, and is confident that she respects our decision not to have contact with OC. I am not so confident. However, I am fully aware of the fact that I have an issue trusting ANYONE in my life right now. It goes much past just H. What I really want is to get out of here for a while....take a small trip or something. I shared this with H today. He said, "someday", but quite honestly, I need to get away from HERE and the STRESS OF "HERE" SOONER than LATER! I think it's just another way that I am not being taken seriously. I feel like I am losing my mind so often, because I can't stop thinking!!! Do any of you have any suggestions as to how I can relieve some of the stress? I think it's starting to affect my health...headaches, bodyaches, tired, etc. I need "de-stressers" that can suffice until I can get out of here! Looking forward to your ideas!!!
~Irish

fightingirish, sorry i didn't see this till now. have been a bit self-absorbed the past couple of days. thinking of the court hearing etc.
i think you need a getaway too. even if it is just for the weekend. i hope you get it soon. it is very helpful. i would suggest driving somewhere. long drives are great for deep conversations. unless you are in the car with me, and i might fall asleep...
destressers- put on some relaxing music, get an aromatherapy candle and take a nice hot bubble bath. take deep breaths. meditate to something prayerful, repeat it over and over. if you are catholic, pray the rosary. go on a walk listening to some relaxing music. run water and pretend you are relaxing by the ocean or a stream(unless of course water is expensive, or you live by a real ocean or stream...)
take care and i hope you get better soon. stress can take a huge toll on us physically. take care of you!
happy_girl

I have taken to attacking dandylions in the yard. Yes... strange but true. I get a knife (small one) and go dig them up. It is mindless and gets me out in the sun.
Sometimes the most silly tasks are the ones that bring that wave of relief. Take care... Carolyn

Irish,
I find that a long walk helps to clear my head. If I find myself thinking about what is stressing me, I just force myself to think of happier things.
Also, just wanted to bring this back to the top.
Love,

Tigger

takingcare,
I just read your post about the attack. I had to laugh I do the same thing but they make a handy little tool for it I call it a weed popper. I dont know if that the name but they work great. It looks like a screw driver but it has a forked end. with love flowerseed

Gees you would think I would have known that! I only have about 50 of them stuck in my yard. I can't seem to remember were I leave them. Thats why they look at me so funny when I ask for a weed popper. with love flowerseed

I, too, have been picking dandelions - to EAT. The greens are quite good fried in butter or with hot bacon dressing. It's an acquired taste, I think.
cd

I have eaten a LOT of stuff in my life, but no... no dandylions! I can't get my kids to eat salad, much less weeds! Ha!
But when the neighbors look at me funny I will tell them I am just getting dinner ready! That should start the talk!
Thanks Flowerseed for the hint. I just LOVE gadgets. Will be picking one of those up soon.
Carolyn
