Any one have any ideas?
All of your help would be greatly appreciated and I'm have deffinately wore my fingers to the bone here on this forum tonight. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif) I have a feeling I will have a hard time explaining at work tomorrow why I just can't type a single word or number.
So seriously I really could use ideas from the floors up! If I don't get any responses, then well it's on your heads! Help! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)
Now members I am counting on you.
Much love, hugs and gratitude,
------------------
God bless you and all of us. Wow... I have never been to a ski resort... so this would be a stab in the dark for me. Most likely my suggestons would end up having your place look like a Motel 6!
But... in an effort here.... ranch style, split level.. what are we dealing with?

Decorating? What FUN!!!
Rustic ski-lodge style? Hmmmm! Lemme think on it!
I've started decorating the living room at our weekend place. The bedrooms are rather too "feminine" for my H and his fishing buddies' taste, but I think they turned out so pretty!
I finally decided that I would do the living room in a "fishing" theme. And, mind you, I'm on a pretty strict budget on this.
I found some fishing/camping print fabric to make sill-length curtains, with a coordinating tab-top valance. For curtain rods, I used old-fashioned cane fishing rods.
My next project is to build an entertainment center to look like a boat standing on end. After that, I plan to build a small 3-shelf unit, using 30" oars for legs.
ABC had some cute rustic-looking shelves decorated with trout, so those will go on the wall. I've got a cricket bait-box that will either hold silk greenery or be turned into a small lamp. I found a small wreath with a fishing them....fish netting, wooden fish, lures, etc. I think it'll be sorta cute when I get finished.
LC

Oooh! I just had an idea! If you're going with a ski-lodge theme, you could make some wall shelves out of old skis!
On TV, I saw a wall shelf for a boy's room that was made out of an old skateboard!
Check out HGTV's website. I love "Room by Room" and "Decorating Cents"!
LC

Hi Samantha,
I am also decorating challenged. Are you going the classy ecomonical route or the money is no object route?
My girlfriend just put in hardwood floors in her home and saved about 50% by going to the stores, finding the type of wood she wanted, went on-line ordered directly from the manufacturer and hired a floor guy to install. She says, it looks nice and she was able to buy the real good stuff.
I have not seen it yet, but she is a pretty classy lady. Likes only the best.
Just an idea. Have fun!!!
L.
Wish I could help, but my decorating style is more like Depression-era chic - everything is too new to be antique but to old for anybody else to ever want in their homes, haha.
cd
