OK, Samantha has a dilemna. She and her H plan to redecorate. and want a rustic ski-lodge feeling..am I right?
Well, all I know about ski lodges is what I've seen on TV. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Based on that, it seems to me that she is talking lots of wood; bright, warm colors; lots of texture.
Maybe rough-sawn cedar paneling, stone fireplace, wood floors with colorful rugs, overstuffed leather furniture...
Although I've seen rough-sawn cedar paneling and it's beautiful, I personally wouldn't want it; I need something smooth so I can just wipe it off (without worrying about scraped knuckles!). Depending on the style home she has, she could also use rich colors on her walls. My den walls are a rusty-red color, with cream trim. H thought I was crazy when I started painting, but he loves it now.
Personally, I've always loved the look of the Cartwrights' home on the old TV show, BONANZA.
Come on! Let's give Samantha a hand! One of us might have an idea that she and her H love!
LC
We are all going to make it, all of us! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] With God on our side we can't lose!
