Broke-down,
Starting this over for you since nansty nellie showed up. We havnt told anybody about the dirty little secret either. I like lsb am so ashamed I dont want anybody to know. I think its great that you were able to show your h some things here and he listened to you. There are some ladies here that are seeking involvement with oc so they have had to tell people hopfully they will be along to give you some ideas. with love flowerseed

Dear brokedown,
I did not tell my family about the OW and OC. However, the OW is a friend of my sister-in-law and so his family knows everything. My mother thinks the sun rises and sets on my H and I did not want to destroy the image that she has of him so I never intend to tell her.
My in-laws took the position that - regardless of how the OC came into the world, she was their relative. That caused a lot of strain between my family and theirs. I stopped going to their homes for a while because they had prominently displayed the photo of the OC. But I guess the novelty of the OC wore off. As other children were born into the family, they moved their attentions to them and now I don't see any photos of the OC anymore.
I hope you will not let opinions of those outside your marriage sway you. It is very difficult for your father because he wants the absolute best for his daughter. But, only you know what is in your heart and whether your H has truly re-committed to the marriage. If the two of you work hard at this, you can make it.
Meanwhile, stay strong and keep posting... we're here for you.
love,
heavenly
