Is there a way to find a Harley trained counselor without calling everyone in the phone book and asking...and then of course praying that your insurance covers them?
Thanks
bw

broken_wings,
Sure. Call the MarriageBuilder's office at 888-639-1639, and ask them for a referral. They have a list of counselors who have registered with the MB office---these counselors are supposed to use MB materials and techniques in their counseling.

I didn't know that K, any particular reason you didn't mention that as an alternative? [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

D'oh!!
It is an alternative. However, most insurance plans don't cover marriage counseling---and I think of the MB counseling as "the Real Thing" and a bargain at twice the price (which it is now---when I started it had just jumped from $45 to $60/session). If the current price of $120 is scary, call Weiner-Davis---two years ago I had considered trying her, to the tune of $200/session.
You can try someone locally---but even if they're registered with MB, make sure that they follow the philosophy and that they're someone who will put your marriage first.
