What do you do when your husband says that he wants his own private email address? His reason is because he won't have to send me stuff to save for him (I never had a problem with that). There are other situations as well and it feels like all of a sudden he wants his privacy. We've been married for 3 years and it's never been an issue until now.

I don’t blame you for being suspicious, and I also believe that there should be no secrets between a husband and wife. Why don’t you tell him you wouldn’t mind him having his own email account as long as you have access to it as well? If he isn’t trying to hide anything, he shouldn’t have a problem with it.

My first thought was that you are lucky because he's talking to you about it and not just doing it behind your back.
But being as suspicious as I am anymore, I'd then wonder if maybe he was going to set up more than one private email account. Of course, I'd only know about one of them.
I feel so strongly that h's & w's should have complete access to each others online accounts. I also think a couple should agree to install a computer key logger monitor. It sure would hose down any temptation!
A monitor is also good to have for those times when one locks up, and all those other little computer glitches.

But if there are other situations that are raising your eyebrows, then you have to look at the bigger picture.

in my opinion, i don't believe there is anything wrong with a husband and wife having their own e-mail addresses. as easy as it is to create an e-mail address, why not have one for you, one for him and one for the both of you? i don't know what the "other situations" are, but try to give one another trust. believe me, there are some things my guy friend send me that i wouldn't want my wife to see. and i'm sure there are some thing my wifes friends send her that i wouldn't care to see. so what? now....if there is some suspicion about what you husband is up to, then sit down and talk about it. ask him everything you want to know and expect him to be truthful about it. if either of you are not truthful with each other, then problems are about to begin. like i've told so many people in the past; if you truely care about someone, be up front and honest with them.
