We just recieved papers about oc's dependancy hearing that is coming up with C&Y. In it, it states the ow's current live in boyfriend is MARRIED. she just doesn't learn! Good god. It also states the ow admits to having mental problems and has just lost her job. More later.<BR>cd

Sigh. Some people never learn do they? And then there's the poor little girl. I feel badly for her. <P>Well, CD, since you know all of this, it might be wise to start looking into parenting evaluations, just as a further option in case C&Y doesn't pull through. If they take the little girl off her mother, you may need it to go against the grandmother as well. So, take a look around the site I gave you before. Unreal. Beyond stupid. I think I would just get my act together and file for custody. Period. Make it know to courts that your H is the best person to do this. OW lives with "married" man, while she admits to having no job and "mental issues". Grandma lives with a shack-up to (right... from other post?). Is any body MARRIED in this family (outside of the men they sleep with?)!!! Man, any court that would leave a child in that situation versus yours is truely a monkey court. <P>Take care... Carolyn

Nope, Grandma is not married - she is shacking up, as is ow's three sisters. pitiful, eh? Plus, ow's other sister is the one who was killed (thrown off a porch) by her married lover. I don't know what it takes for these "ladies" to get the picture.<P>Well, at least we now know why ow's boyfriend never married her and adopted oc. i wonder if his wife is out there somewhere going through what I went through years ago...makes me ill to think about it.<P>As for changing visitation to Saturday - we can't because h has to work sat. to make up for Wednesday when he missed work for the mediation. I did run the schedule change past our attourney before we agreed, and he said we'd let em go with it this time, but if they try to rescedule us again - regardless of reason - he will file for contempt. And he was going to follow up by calling ow's attourney and letting him know that they are using up their one chance to reschedule us. so I think we are good to go on that. I hope so anyway.<P>As for inviting ow in - the thought just occurred to me that if we asked her in, my children will see her. I guess I hadn't thought of that. At any rate, my children will never lay eyes on the despicable creature, so I guess the question is moot. But thanks for the responses anyway.
