How many of you know about or own the Veggie Tales videos? Well, Abbi is, at this very moment, sitting in her bouncer, watching the latest video, "Lyle the Kindly Viking". If you enjoy them, you may be interested in knowing that they are actually coming out with a movie in the movie theatres in 2002! It will be about Jonah. I am so happy to see something like this break into the secular world so successfully! I remember when they first came out with the videos, our son was about 6 or 7 years old. We have almost every video, and the kids still enjoy them, now almost 11 and 8 1/2. If you haven't ever watched these videos, and have fairly young children, I highly recommend them! They are packed with Christian based stories, and usually end with a bible verse. You can get them almost anywhere, but I believe Walmart always has a video or two. I think I may go out to see if the one video that I want is still there. They also have sing-a-long video's which are a lot of fun!
Ok, I will stop trying to sell everyone the Veggie Tales videos.
Love,
Tigger
[This message has been edited by tigger4jdt (edited May 19, 2001).]

My boys (7 & 8) still loves those things. I think I will miss it when they decide to "outgrow" them. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Carolyn

I don't usually come to this forum. I just happened over here and saw this thread. My 17 month old LOVES "Silly Songs"!!!!!! He gets the remote control, hands it to me, and starts yelling, "Veggie Tales." My 4 yr old learns so much from the songs. We have other "Veggie Tales", but the song video is our favorite. We have to watch it while rocking after nap time. It is our special time. Definitely worth $9.95! I am sure when the big screen version comes it will be my little ones first movie theater experience.
Great thread!
Window

I don't have kids... but I have nieces and nephews. When I visit my sister, she puts on a Veggie Tales video - supposedly to keep the kids occupied, but it winds up being me that is occupied by them. My H's fave song is "Cheeseburger", but mine is "cebu'". My daughter loves them all! We ALMOST have them all. They have a web site too... www.bigidea.com We went and voted for our favorite silly song for their next sing-a-long video. Just love those veggie tales. My 3 yr old daughter walks around screaming "I am that HERO...call me Larry-Boy..Super suction ears!" Then she makes this "woosh woosh sound (like the ears)
lol sooooo cute
[This message has been edited by broken_wings (edited May 20, 2001).]
