... one of us loses the fight?
When I read the post from Paul Moyers, I exploded into this fit of anger. We make mistakes. We are, every one of us, imperfect individuals. But, at that point when we made that commitment, that pledge to love each other and care for each other all the days of our lives -- we saw something in our spouse that made us WANT to forsake all others and bask in the reflection of their love forever.
Sometimes one of us may stray and think that the light is brighter somewhere else. But, why is it so difficult for some to come out of that fog and see clearly that the really bright light is the one that they pledged their life to?
Is it because we get so wrapped up in our petty battles - trying to place blame, trying to hurt more or be hurt more? Are our egos the only thing that stops us from really communicating with each other?
I know that Paul tried, with his whole heart and soul, but he was not able to bring his wife into the light. It is frightening to think that we can take that step to say to the person we love "You are everything to me, let's try to work this out" -- and still have them remain indifferent.
It is frightening to me to see a spouse walk away from their family, including the children born of their marriage, in favour of an OP and an OC. Don't any of these people realize the type of destruction that they are wreaking on so many innocent lives by their inability to control their emotional and animal desires?
We only get to live this life once. It is not a game. I just pray every day that people will stop playing with other people's lives -- that people will stop sentencing each other to misery and despair. We all deserve so much better, even if we are imperfect and we have made mistakes.
I can also pray that God has really thought through His Plan and for better days ahead for us all.
love,
heavenly

Heavenly I agree with you. It IS sad to see a marriage end.
However I think it will open a new door for Paul M.
Who knows what he'll find behind that door?
Amanda? Maybe....or maybe not....
God has a plan for Paul. I know it will include happiness after all of his sorrow.
I too wish sometimes everyone would stop playing with everyone's lives. Like it's a big game. It's a waste of precious time! We all have only so much.....(time)
Hey Lynton, how's it goin?
Love,
Debi
------------------
Imagine....
