I never would have thought of it, but when a friend said that "Rock bottom is solid ground" it just rang true.
9 months after Dday we seem to be 6 weeks into recovery. I think that my H had to have his own crises in order to begin rebuilding. There had to be some sort of bottoming out, of admitting that situation was out of control before he could begin to repair things. Is this the proverbial fog lifting? I certainly hope so. I am still uneasy and slightly suspicious but I keep that to myself.
The other day he said that it had become clear to him that OW's intention all along had been to break us apart. It felt good to be on the same side of the table about this. I said I was glad that he saw it as I did and reminded him that she was no friend of our marriage and did not wish the best for us. She wished the best for herself.
I am recovering from the grief of the loss of the adoption. We are filing an appeal although we have little hope of it being successful. I think that we are both adjusting to the idea that these children will not be ours and that we will have to find another route to parenthood. Thank you all for the support and prayers over the past few weeks.
Yours,
Mrs. Job

I don't mean to interfere but if you in any way need some advice or help through the adoption maze please let me know.
Kris

Mrs.J, what a great saying! I could have used that a few times myself.
I'm glad you and Mr.J are doing better, but don't be surprised if (adoption)grief catches you up once in a while even after acceptance... just like we have triggers for affair grief. Also, be aware men get so little attention/help for their grief and they grieve differently than women. It was during my H's grief over lost babies that his affair began--ooooh, the regrets!
