Ow's child support was lowered dramatically for the time between when h filed for modification and the time ow lost custody. For that time period, she is entitled to only a fraction of what was originally ordered. To make things even better, her case was dropped retroactive to the day she lost custody, so for the time being, h doesnt have to pay her one red cent! And if/when she regains custody of oc, she is stuck with the lower amount!
Anything that h overpaid to her during the past month has been held and will go towards my "arrears", so we should be collecting a refund of that money sometime soon.
Ow is totally going to freak out when she finds out that not only is her amount lowered, but as of now, she can't collect ANYTHING!!!
And even if she does refile later, the amount is set low enough that h and I can actually afford it. I am so happy. We may actually be able to pay bills for a change.
Thanks for your prayers and support.
I'll have to let you all know how ow acts when we go to visit oc on sunday. I'm sure she's not going to be too pleasant once she finds out that she's been kicked off the cs gravy train.
Much love,
cd

That's wonderful news CD!! In the short time I've retuened to posting you've been very helpful. I'm pleased for you. I came into the story late. If Ow doesn't have custody who does? Also - in a few posts to me you made reference to a few other things. Were you ever in Plan B? I know you said something about not making it easy on H when he was gone. If so how long was it? Did H express remorse right away?
I'm so glad for you and will be curious when you have visitation on Sun. Good Luck
Kris
