Hi <BR>Thank you so much for your help. I called my son to clarify dates after your response. Her last period was May 12. She had sex on May 22 and May 24 for another young man. With my son on June 8. She had the test around June 18-19 and the count was 1450. She says her periods tend to start 2 or 3 days late.<BR>It is such a hard thing because of course if the child is my sons we all want to support her in anyway possible (she has no job or medical insurance) and will need financial and emotional support threw this. Hi Joyd,<P>well I took out my trusty old obsetrical wheel (pregnancy caculator) this is what her doctor uses (all doc use them), along with US. if the first day of her last menstral cycle was May 12 her due date will be Feb 15 (a day or two before after, wheels vary but just by a day..no biggie)..according to the wheel Probable day of conception was on or about May 26...there IS NO WAY HER EGG LASTED 2 WEEKS...her Beta number means nothing...I told you before the Beta HCG values can grossly vary. you CANNOT PINPOINT CONCEPTION WITH A BETA HCG. 1450 is a fine beta for some one who is 6 weeks and 4 days PG...that should have doubled by now...see. what happens is ..and what they use the beta HCG for is one to establish PG (blood test), then the viablity of the PG, and how they do that is by taking them every 48 hours your begining number (in her case 1450) should double every 48 hours...IF HER DOC SAY HE CAN PINPOINT DAY OF CONCEPTION WITH THAT...HE SHOULD BE QUACKING!!!!!...TO REPEAT HER MOST POSSIBLE DAY OF CONCEPTION WITHIN TWO DAYS IS THE 26 OF MAY, NOW she could have had sex on the 24 ...ovulated on the 26(give or take a couple of days) and got pregnant.. sperm can live up to 72 hours...but the egg lives at the most 36 hours...your son had sex with her (june 8th)...she was already pregnant...If you dates are correct..I would bet my license on that one. have your son go with her to her doctor. print out my posts, and see what he really says. I would bet your son is the one she hopes is the father...maybe the one who is more responsible of the two...she sure is not..unprotected sex with two (and who really knows how many others??)...I would not pay for anything...I appreciate your son wanting to be responsible BUT if those dates are accurate, he is not the daddy. you can even go to babycenter.com or one of the other pregnant web sites, and do the caculators they have there.. it should all == within a day or two. June 8th is almost 2 weeks out there...Good luck...MC
