I've been married for the past 17yrs. It wasn't an ideal marriage, physical/emotional abuse. Over the past 8-10 yrs I think I emotionally divorced my husband. I thought of leaving him many times but stayed due to the financial security. Well this past spring, another man entered my life and swepted me off my feet. This was something I would never have expected to ever happen. This man was also married. I had a feeling that this man had pursued other women but I guess I was so desparate for attention I went along with his advantages. Well the relationship started out with flirtation and then we started seeing each other. There was a couple of times we got together but stopped before actually going all the way. My friend suggested that I approach my husband and tell him that I wasn't happy before I pursued this relationship any further. I did and my husband was totally crushed. We started counseling. You see, I'm a Christian and what I did is really tearing me up. During this ordeal, my husband accepted Christ as his Savior. All I can say is that I have witnessed Devine intervention with my husband. He is 100% a different person and husband. I thought there was no hope to ever love him again. God has been sending us blessings dailey. I have gone from a woman who would tense up from the touch of her husband to one who can now be passionate with him. I love him dearly and his love for me has made a big difference in the survival of our marriage. The problem is, how do I get past the constant thought of this other man whom I feel took advantage of me. I feel I was violated by him, mainly by his lies and deceite. Seems he has done this many times before. Sometimes I think it would have been easier if it was just two married people who made a mistake. How do I move on and how long will it take to stop being consumed with reliving this mistake?

blessed,,,, you need to stop consuming yourthoughts with the om's past history and quilt.
since you were able to refrain from falling completely into the deed, and not trying to justfy your actions. they were wrong and we all know that.
why not try looking on this om as an angel sent down from heaven to give your marriage a jump start again. view him as God's messenger to have you seek out counseling for your marriage. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

May God richly bless you and H for this breakthrough. What satan meant for evil God turned into good. Be totally open and honest with your H, break off ALL contact with the vulture, give yourself time to heal, and concentrate on your M only. I suggest finding a good church with a marriage ministry, women's ministry, and a men's ministry. Great to read a success story!
Phil. 4:13.
