We did not get a visit today because there was a paperwork hold-up with C&Y. The case is being transferred from ow's old county to the grandmother's county, and being in transition prevented the new c&Y caseworkers from arranging anything for us this weekend. Hopefully by tomorrow we'll have some news on when we'll get to see Darling again and whether or not C&Y is filing for a contempt of court against ow and family.
However, the good news is that my dog has been found! I had put up signs all over town, had advertised on the radio and in the newspaper without any luck. then on friday night, we got a call that somebody had seen her in town. I rushed right out to look for her in the area they spoke of, but I realized (after about 10 minutes of walking through town and yelling her name at the top of my lungs) that I was in my nightie and bare feet, so I went back home. Lord only knows what the neighbors think of me now ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif) So my h went out and spent an hour and a half combing the town for her, and finally ran into some teenage boys who agreed to help him search. One of the boys finally found her and handed her over to h. I was so happy and relieved to have her home. The only bad, scary part about it is that somebody had removed her coller (with her id tag and licence) and replaced it with a new collar, so apparantly that person had planned on just keeping my dog until the publicity (signs and ads) scared them into letting her go. Isn't that just sick to keep somebody elses dog, especially when the dog had a tag with our address and phone on it? and they even had her professionally groomed! Makes me sick to think that somebody would just take something that is mine without a second thought - strangely enough, it brought back ow issues for me. but still, I'm so grateful to have her home safe and sound!
so, thanks to all for the prayers about my pup - they worked, and I am so appreciative.
with love,
cd

And sorry to hear it was this way... your comment really hit me. How true it is, and how much new things can remind us of old pain!
Best of wishes,
J

CD,
I am so happy that you got your puppy back!!!! I can believe that people do such a thing as taking the collar off and wanting to keep your dog. I believe that is what happened to our dog out here last year! The best thing you can do, if it may happen again, is to get a microchip implanted that has your information on it. That way, if it does happen again, and they have switched collars again, and you find her, but the people don't give her back, you can have someone scan her back, and the chip number comes up. You then call the humane society with that number, and they will provide the info that it is your dog. I would check it out.
I wish I had a little more time, but Abbi is voicing her disaproval that I am not feeding her right now.
Love,
Tigger

cd!!!
Your pup is home where she belongs! Hooray! She must be quite a dog for someone else to want her enough to have her professionally groomed. At least your pup came home all poofed and clipped instead of muddy and bedraggled.
Hmmmm...I know what you mean about someone else taking from you something precious that you cherish for themselves...pox on them. They are probably related to the OW and they have that weird entitlement gene running rampant through their family...like, "Nice guy...hmmm, I want him, he's mine! Nice dog...hmmm, I want her, she's mine!" The comparison is startling, is it not? After all, in my case, my husband is a real sonofa*****...hahaha
What gets me is that you had a collar with tags on it with your address. This world is so ugly I can hardly stand it.
Catnip =^^=
