Hi all,<P>When I was young (OK, 7th grade and old enough to know better). I thought "amen" meant "the end." And I proudly told the congregation that when our minister asked one day in the children's sermon. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]<P>Mr. Job is Catholic and he thought the Hail Mary said "Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for *our* sinners now and at the hour of our death." When the nun corrected them he was horrified to be lumped in with the group of sinners--"pray for us sinners...". He also thought that the act of contrition said "for which we are *hardly* sorry" instead of "heartily sorry."<P>Any others? They don't have to be religious.<P>MJ
