I miss all of you.
We're doing fine and wedding is a few weeks away.
No news from ow's atty.
When I have time I will tell you I'm part of an on going investigation about the priest who "helped" us. He's supposedly a fraud! I'll let you know more as it unfolds.
My new parish is a true blessing.....
love Debi
[ October 30, 2001: Message edited by: gemini1 ]

Gem,
I know I'm sort of a newbie. But I was thinking about you since your last post. I'm glad things are going well for you. Good luck with the wedding plans. Does she (DIL) know if the baby is a girl or boy yet?
Unsure A.K.A Tough Girl Spice

Gem, I bet you have been busy. I have a brand new Grandbaby she was born Sunday 8lbs 6oz baby girl 23 inchs long. She looks just like her brother when he was born. I bought her the cutest little dress and little black shiny shoes. I bought 3 to 6 months and they are going to just fit. She has the longest toes I have ever seen. My daugther had to show them to me first thing we got a good laugh. It was so funny my 2yr old Grandson smacked my 6 yr old with a plastic shovel and Heather his mom told him you tell her your sorry right now. He said I'm sorry right now. It is so fun to be Grandma, I just die laughing at this little boy.He always talking about hunting gonna get a bull elk. It feels so good to be able to be around him and not think about oc anymore. It took almost the 2yrs that he is old but I'm finally there. Tell us about this fraud your talking about. With love, Flowerseed

Zebra here... answering the page!
I've been out of the loop for a couple of days. Seems like real life takes over every once in a while.
Aside from the antics of OW every once in a blue moon, life is great.
Money is still tighter than ever... but thankfully I'm in a business that seems to always withstand bad economic times. Everyone always buys groceries!
Husband and I are tossing around the idea that he be a stay at home dad for two years until littlest (ours) is in the state funded pre-K program. Daycare is whipping our a*s*s financially. Might give it a shot at the beginning of the new year.
Our wedding anniversary is this weekend. I'm actually looking forward to it. I thought six months ago I'd dread it. But we are going to H's college homecoming in Savannah. I've never been and am looking forward to getting away with him. (no kids)! I'll probably play second fiddle to his faternity brothers, but all the wives are fabulous!
I'm so glad you sent the summons. I look forward to hearing how the other old timers are doing.
Hey newbies. Keep your head up... there's light at the end of the tunnel!
Z.

Unsure, Broken Wings, Flowerseed(good lookin granny!), Zebra baby, Hi all of you! Flowerseed I can't wait to be a granny! Your story is too cute.
At my future DIL shower Sunday my neice was in ladies room with us and asked us why anyone would buy a (sanitary)napkin in here when there're free in the restuarant.!!!!ha ha ha ha ha NAPKINS!!! ha ha We had to explain what they were and she just said OH....ha ha
Priest is being investigated for inappropriate sexual advances on women who counseled w/him from our parish. 11 in all. Heard he's a complete fraud! Not sure yet. no details. Not sure what IS and isn't true. BTW it's my old parish!
priest counseled ow and h TOGETHER this past year over baby ! Also allowed baptism announcement in bulletin looking as if ow were H's wife as it stated ""BABY" son of ow and my H." Still pisses me off to no end.
After wedding I'll get into it more if I find out more.
love to all...old and new....YOU WILL SURVIVE!!!! Pray to God for guidance and he will show you the way.
love Debi

Hi Gem, I'm still around. Just lurking lately, because I'm usually checking in at work and by the time I read all the posts I don't have time to write responses.
In addition to teaching computer science classes for a local university, I have been working on my off-time as our attourney's "assistant". I research cases, write up legal documents, and attend court with him. I've been too busy to breathe, lately.
But I will carve out some time within the next day or two to write an update and respond to some of the posts.
cd

hi gemini and everyone else. happy_girl here. all is well. just overwhelmed with nursing school, working FT and having hubby home.
our marriage is going great. we still have no contact with oc. she is 4 years old now. paying the child support and insurance for oc. cs comes out of check automatically but i write the check for the insurance. it is just another bill for me.
don't come here too much anymore. i lurk once in awhile, but usually am not online too much. we are in recovery and doing well, i find it easier to lead a normal life when i don't think about it everyday. most days we are just your usual married couple and i hardly think about the whole situation. it is just easier that way. i wish i could be helpful to newbies, etc, but i do better when i leave things that have past in the past. does that make any sense???
anyway, i am definitely thankful for everyone i met here and all the help i got. it is a great place, except for the usual loser crashers, but otherwise if you are new here, stick around and stick together!
miss you all and hope you are doing good in your life. god bless you and your families...
love,
happy_girl

HappyGirl, I'm so happy that you're doing well! Also Flower and Zebra and others... I love to hear of people's lives getting back to normal! I can relate.
Curious we haven't heard from Mrs. Job... I hope she and hubby are well and adoption is proceeding, and our other recent adopter.
Heavenly, if you're out there, we need another condolence going out to you. The trama of losing your sweet babies hurts for so long, but we are praying for you and know your H loves you.
Best wishes to all, J

Hello, to all my dear friends. It is so good to hear that you are all doing well. Hey Gem, How bout them Yankees, hope they can keep it up. Happy Aniversary, Zebra, mine is in two weeks, November is such a romantic month, the chill in the air and the leaves changing. Happy girl, it was so nice to read your post I think of you from time to time and hope that you are doing well in school. CD, so glad to hear you are doing well, and keeping busy. How is the visitation going? Flowerseed, congrats on the grandbaby.
My h and I are doing well, our last court date was in Sept. and we really got all we asked for. We now have visitation every other weekend and one evening a week. I like it so much better than every Sunday, from noon to seven. At least we can all do things together on the weekend and then I know the following weekend we can do other things. The children are all getting along great, and that was the main reason we wanted the visitation. I have my ups and downs more ups than downs. And I still feel I have chosen the right thing, the children should all know each other. We have had a few problems with the mother of the oc, she still gives my h crap once in a while, but not as much as this past summer. She has let up on the complaining, the judge put her in her place and told her to deal with the fact that the child's father will be in his life. In fact, the judge did not even give her complaints the time of day, about not feeding him nutrious meals and all the other things she has accused us of doing which were untrue. So all in all things are good. We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary, along with the birthday of my daughter and the oc's birthday all on the same weekend in two weeks. I am not sure how that will go for me. Keep me in your prayers for strength I will need some. Peace to you all, Love and best wishes, Gabi1116
[ November 02, 2001: Message edited by: gabi1116 ]
