Hi all,
Old topic but it has gotten good responses in the past and might be a break from some of the tension the board has had lately.
How did you come up with your user name? How long have you been using it? Would you change it now if you could? In other words, does it still reflect where you are?
MJ

MJ,
My name is easy to figure out. I was very unsure about my marriage, I didn't know if I wanted to give H a second chance. The numbers 919400 are my childrens years of birth. I would change it now because I know what I want out of my marriage and I know where I want to be a year from now. I have a dream husband again he cleans, cooks and does laundry. He's also very loving and supportive.
Tee
P.S. What made you pick the name MaryJane? I think I know why you picked Mrs. Job.

Hmmm... let me see??
 • drugs
 • abortion
 • church
 • quit church
 • college dropout
 • unplanned pregnancy by a MM
 • single parenting
 • rededicated my life to Christ
 • persecution on the job--probably due to OW/OC status as these people, including the boss, have all been laid off now, (so it couldn't have been a reflection of my work, right?)
 • married
 • had twins 3 mos. early, both surviving with special needs
 • angry wayward OC teen on probation
 • court dates & fines up the U-NO-WHAT
 • signed approval for OC to go to juvenile hall
 • stepdad negotiates with probation officer and cancels out the juvenile hall thing
 • OC turnaround
 • sick marriage
 • healed marriage
 • Found MB!
 • improved marriage

Before being MaryJanes, I was Mrs. Job.
Mrs. Job had to do with within a 6-month period:
H lost job
H had major tumor surgery (benign) but they had to remove 1/2 of his face to get the tumor out. (Don't worry, they put it back and he looks pretty good again.)
I learned of A and OC
We lost our adoption of the boys we love.
I switched names when they updated the server and I couldn't get into my account. I wanted to create a name that I could still abbreviate as MJ. I was looking at a shoe catalog and saw Mary Jane shoes. I was order myself a pair, hence my new name. Less negative.
MJ

I was setting up an account on another board and site and I was getting frustrated that EVERY nickname that I wanted was taken...I spent about (no kidding here....) two hours trying to come up with a stinking nickname...lo and behold...I looked on the floor and saw a trashbag twisty and thought...."AHA!" never dreaming that the computer would accept THAT name...the very name I was being a smartypants about and really didn't want...lol!!!
Anyways...with my old keyboard sticking, it gave me two "i's" and that is how my name is...I'm twiisty a few other places in the great big old world of the internet...I have had the name for almost two years and it kinda grew on me.
I also have a healthy respect for tornados and dream of one day being a storm chaser (when my kids are all grown) I would love to get back to chasing and seeing twisters again...was in a few of them myself...deadly....yet so beautiful...
I also love to cross-stitch and quilt and sew and so twisty thread for buttonholes seem to add to my "twiisted" name.....
Now and then I get called "twiisted" sister...lol and with my weird sense of humor...I don't blame those who do call me that!
So.....that's how I got my name...warts and all....
lol...
Hugs to y'all,
Twiisty

My screen name is a nickname that my sister gave me.
I have used it now for 15 years… My middle name isn’t Lee.. and my first name isn’t Stacia… she just added the a… and changed my L name to Lee… hence .. Stacia Lee…
My niece and nephew call me Daci… I probably could have used that one.. LOL.. and maybe if I have to change my screen name to avoid OW… which would be doubtful… I may use it in the future.. hehe
My dad calls me Icats… which is my name spelled backwards… I decided against it… too strange for a forum.... Well, it's from one of my favorite blues songs and is the name of the woman the man loves above all others, and he is telling her to pleeeaze let him back into her life. So, that's one reason. Also, I like the rhythmn of the name, the happiness, the out there feeling I get when I say it. I am independent, loving, generous, adventuresome. All the characteristics I think I have fit. Most importantly I am a strong believer in Christ and somehow the spirit of a woman who is strong and loving and alone or with her man and only gets stronger from whatever this life has to try to make her stumble seems to be in that name.
