Hi all,
After a horrible week of enormous work deadlines and adoption deadlines all at once, we are about 4 weeks away from going to get the boys. We still don't know yet if we are going to have to go to Eastern Europe twice under the new rules or if they will allow us to slip in under the old rules and just travel twice. Under the new rules, there are no longer going to be referrals by US adoption agencies. You get permission to travel to the country, are assigned 3 or 4 orphanages where you can look for a child and then pick one out. You go home and then return in a few weeks to complete the adoption. What would be the point of us making two trips since the boys spent six weeks with us already on the summer program.
Oh well, gotta go finish taking down the Christmas tree. That'll give you an idea of how far behind schedule I am. Thank goodness the tree is artificial or the Job/Jane home would have gone up in flames weeks and weeks ago. Well, instead of being a procrastinator, I just tell myself that I am a good prioritizer. It took priority to meet job deadlines and adoption deadlines. I keep my soft, pink, fluffy denial pillow with me at all times.
MJ
