Well, I am a major whimp when it comes to needles, and I have a docs appointment to have 3-4 moles looked at. The appointment is in 3 hours, and with a history of skin cancer in the family, father has the non-malinoma type, brother has had superficial malinoma, I have a strong feeling that the doc is going to want to remove at least 1 today! I have been putting it off for WAY too long, as my parents and brother have been bugging me about this one on my neck for over 4 years! Now, after beeing in HI for 2 1/2 yrs. I am a little worried that it could push that line I've been walking, and go towards that dangerous area.
Please pray that I can be calm about this, especially if the doc wants to remove 1 or more today. I actually hope that he will refer me to dermatology, so I can further prepare for that needle.
Thanks in advance.
Tigger

Turns out it was just me over reacting. Doc didn't even feel it necessarry to remove any of them. He said that it was better that I did come in, just to be certain they were normal, especially with my family history.
Thanks for all the prayers.
Tigger

Tigger,
The most wonderful thing about Tiggers....is that they are OK. :-) Their tops are made out of rubber; their bottoms are made out of springs...and they always bounce back.
Glad to hear that you are OK.
MJ
[ May 14, 2002: Message edited by: MaryJanes ]

Well, Tigger, I am glad I didn't see this until the crisis was over so I didn't have to agonize. When someone here is anticiplating something scary or unpleasant (Like needles! Yikes!) I get so worked up, I pace like a cat in a cage.
You know, I have a couple moles that should be looked at...I should call the vet and see if I can get in.
So, Tigger, you know what to do, don't you? Stay out of the sun, wear a sun hat, wear sunscreen and at night before bed, moisturizer.
I am so relieved they turned out to be nothing.
Love
Catnip =^^=

pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun
PSS Glad you got this taken care of. I had one also that hurt and I ignored for 4 years. I wasn't afraid, it just fell to the bottom of my priority list. It was pre-cancerous. I got it removed.
MJ
