It's kind of weird, but I guess with technology the way it is today, I don't have anything to worry about...*sigh*...my mother and I aren't very close...she's in PA and I'm in LA...
She had surgery in the late 70's (when I was 7 or 8) to clean her valves and now she has to have two valves replaced.
I pray that it will all go well...don't know why I'm typing this...but for those of you who pray and the Lord lays it on your heart, please do.
Thanks...(I have a bad feeling about this)
Twiisty

Twiisty,
I will be keeping your mother in my thoughts. Technology is fantastic, my mother who is 85 had her quad. bypass last year, and as she said "piece of cake".
Please keep us updated on her progress.

You and your Mom are BOTH in my prayers.
Today's technology is so incredibly amazing and the improvements today are light years ahead of what they were in the late 70's...
You were 7 or 8 in the late 70's? You are such a pup!

Thanks for those of you who are praying...
The latest update is a doozy...I'm trusting God though...Lord help me!
When the docs opened up my mother today, they found one of her *good* valves busted and with an anerysm...she was a walking timebomb...she should have died from that, but Thank God she didn't. They were able to repair that and replace the two valves that needed to be replaced.
The next 4 to 24 hours are critical (it's 11:02 p.m. central)
When she comes out, there's a chance she may have a stroke...we are praying against that.
She is still on the respirator.
They couldn't fix another one of my mother's heart problem (to slow down her irregular heartbeat) because she was under anethesia too long.
My Step-father is kinda shaky...and that's unusal for him...he's usually unflappable.
That's the latest...I'm praying for my mom...I love her and I know she loves me, but we had our differences...I called her every day last week.
Thanks for caring, y'all.....
Hugs,
Twiisty
