I am 18 years old and I want to get married next June. I work 20 hours a week and then I go to school 20 hours a week. I take care of all my finances and most of my boyfriends. My parents say they dont think I am ready but they will support me in whatever I decide. But then they make comments about my relationship. I become so torn. I have never been into partying or going out with people my age. My boyfriend is 25 yrs old and he treats me like a queen. I love him and I know I will marry him. But I dont want to wait to do it. I feel like next June is the right time for me. I dont know what to do. Everyone is saying I need to live a little. But all the living I want to do... I can do with my future husband.

BettyJo,

So if you love this man so much--then why would waiting a couple years make a difference?

you will both change a great deal between the ages of 18 to 25--

But the real question is in reference to this comment here--

--I take care of all my finances and most of my boyfriends. --

TR--Why are you taking care of most of HIS finances?? He's 25 year's old--this is something he should be doing for himself--that way you get a better idea of how he is with dealing with financial matters--

I agree with ThornedRose. There is no reason to not wait. You will both change alot over the next few years.

STBXW and I were married when she was 19. I was 22. Proposed to her at high school graduation.

So many things changed in both of are lives over the next few years that we were never the same "High School Seethearts" again.

I dont mean that you should wait to make sure that it's the right decission. I think that it is best that the 2 of you continue to build your relationship while you each develop into what you will always be.
