I've been married now for almost 6 months and I am seriously thinking about being done with this marriage. Before we got married we did some stupid things in our relationship. While we were dating he was not the only person I was dating and he has a big problem with that now. But when we would get a little serious and I would ask about where we were going he would always tell me he wasn't looking for anything serious. So I continued to date. Once we finally got serious I still had guy friends I grew up with but he didn't like that. But he also had his ex hang around and still talking to her. But he didn't see a problem. Once we got engaged he would constantly throw my past in my face and try to use it against me. But before we got married we talked about eveything that was wrong and things we should and shouldn't do. I thought everything was fine until after we got married and he decided to change because he felt like we had so many problems before that he should change and the problems would change. But they got worse. He changed, our relationship changed and I feel like I do not know this man I am married to. We fuss and argue about EVERYTHING. Money, going out, my daughter's other side of the family, my family, his family, etc. You name it we have argued about it. We have not had one good week since we've been married and I fell emotionally drained. Now that we are married he feels as if he can control me. He told me he was raised in a house where his mother did what his famther said. And I didn't. I was raised to be independent. To be able to take care of myself. Not to the point where I don't want him to tell me anything but when you are trying to control who I have as friends, every dime I spend and what I do on the daily basis I feel trapped. I understand that if a friend is causing problems in my marriage I need to fix it but if the friend is the one that got us together and is the only one supporting our relationship, why should I have to stop talking to her just because she is single. He doesn't want me to go out and do anything because he, "knows how guys are." He has told me before that he doesn't trust me. I've never cheated on him, it is just the fact that I dealt with other guys while I was dealing with him. But yet I find video tapes of him and another female and when I get upset and question him it's so easy to fix and I am suppose to go with whatever he gives me. But being the person I am I forgave him and let it go and I don't bring it up each time I get upset with him. Also he doesn't like to compromise. It is his way or no way. There were a few incidents that came up where, one I wanted to go out of town with my best friend to celebrate her birthday. He doesn't like her too much so he said no. Then I wanted to go have a girls day out with a few of my co-workers but he didn't like that idea either. So I wanted to go out like a week later and that was no too. So I got fed up and asked him to give me a good enough reason for me to not do any of those things and he couldn't. All he could say is that it will cause a conflict but could not tell me how it would cause a conflict. So I suggested that I have the girls day out and not do the other two. He still did not want that. Well he continued to say no and give me no explanation so I end up going out of town with my best friend. And it caused a problem of course mainly just because he didn't want me to go. So about a month later I a friend of mines ask to go hang out and still no. Still no explanation and to cause no conflict I didn't go and I begin to stay in the house. I begin to get miserable and now I feel like I have to sneak but I don't want to do that. But no matter what it is I want to do he always says that it is going to cause a conflit. I don't know what to do but at the same time I don't want to just sit around the house like an old maid. And as far as the money situation, we both had our seperate accounts of course and once we got married I put all of my money in "OUR" account with no problem and even cancelled a savings account I had to put that money in with "OURs". But he has not done that and we had an issue one month where a few things came up and I willingly used the money from my previous account to pay some bills , etc. And I contribute 100% to this marriage but to this day he still has not put his money in "OUR" savings account. I feel like he is holding something back from me. I feel like I should put money in a seperate account to save for me too if he doesn't want to make all money OURs. But he has a problem with that and has still not changed his account. I am just tired and confused. I seriuosly don't know what to do anymore. I have read just about every article one this site and even printed them out and let him read them, we went to counseling and the couselor told him a lot of the same things I have suggested and nothing changed. We have read books and I just don't know what to do now. HELP?!?!? <img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" />
