my husband is an alcoholic. i just recently quit drinking because i realized that i was drinking just to have something in common with him.
i filed for divorce a year ago and he talked me out of it because he said things were going to change. he is still leaving without telling me anything, not answering his cell phone, staying out until 3 or 4 in the morning and lying to me. i asked him if he realizes that hes and alcoholic and he said that he knows that he drinks everyday. i have read all of the information that you have on your web site regarding this information and i have shared it with him in the past but he says that he doesn't like or want to go to couseling. i have given him and ultimatum that he quits drinking and gets counseling. i know that you don't do counseling until the addiction is taken care of but i need to know if there are any counselors that specialize in alcoholism that will counsel you over the phone.

On these boards there are several Recovering Alcoholic/Addicts and some wives or husbands who have or are living with Alcoholics/Addicts.
