My H had an A which has resulted in the birth of a child. Can someone please explain to me how child support in this situation since we have 3 children of our own. Is she entitled to 20% of his paycheck even though we have three kids? Does child support take into account that my children will be effected by such a large amount being taken away? I saw that I can sue for child support also, but don't we have to be divorced for that? Please help with whatever you know.

it really depends on what state you live in. Most states DO NOT take into account your children. My H has to pay 20% right off the top, and they never even looked at our bills, or considered our child. We were told tuff luck basically. I pray that you live in a state which considers both incomes, your H, and the ow. And all of the children, not just the oc.
babstr.

Hello, It depends what state you live in. Here in WI they are suppose to take into account childern, if the childern from the marriage were born first. A lot of states do not take into account other childern unless there is already a CS order establish. And your H can owe back child suuport all the way back to birth. It all depends what state you live in.
Dawn
[ June 03, 2002: Message edited by: Dawn71 ]

Crying all night, go to the web site alllaw.com-it has child support calculators for all states in the county, and you can enter your H's and OW;s salary and see what your state may determine for CS. It is fairly accurate, just not binding since it only takes into account certain things. Try it.
