My 3 year old is going in for dental surgery tomorrow. She cried tonight because I told her she wouldn't be able to have any breakfast tomorrow, or anything to drink. It will be a long day, she doesn't go in until 12:30. I am trying to be positive, but I just cry and cry.
I realize alot of it is hormones. But I am scared they will have to take the teeth out, and what that will do to her. Please just keep us in your prayers tomorrow. Thanks
babstr.

Oh, Honey...I don't know what to say...I am so, so sorry both you and she are going through this right now, or ever!
You can certainly count on me storming the heavens for you, Babstr.
God has given us so many blessings, including giving the medical community the ability to discover new medicines and treatments to enhance our lives. I am just going to pray that God is in control and that He will save your little ones teeth and keep your calm and safe and comforted.
God bless and protect you both.
Love
Catnip =^^=

Too bad I didn't see your message eariler...
I would have suggested that you keep her up really really late and get her up realy really early so that she would maybe sleep right up until time to go and perhaps not miss eating at all... (because she would be soooo tired!)
Oh well, one good thing is that she probably won't remember a thing when she grows up!
When she gets up, maybe do something fun to take her mind off eating, like take her for a drive or go to the park or some other fun place that she loves. If it is warm where you are, let her have a water day and put some warm water in her wading pool and let her have some fun or play in the bathtub with some of her toys...
I think she can have clear liquids 3 hours prior to the surgery???? That will take the edge off of her hunger pangs.
Good luck! & prayers too!!!

Dear Lord, what posesses a dentist (or doctor) to schedule a child for surgery at such a time that she cannot have food for such a long period of time??! Have they no heart?! When my son had surgery, it was scheduled first thing in the morning (like 7am!) so that he had little discomfort from hunger.
Babstr, I'm so sorry for you and your daughter to undergo this trauma when so much else is stressing you.
Dear God, please keep your hand on Babstr and her daughter now. Comfort them and keep them close to each other and to your heart. May this girl's health be perfectly restored and Your peace surround them. In Jesus name I pray,
J

Thank you everyone. She was able to have clear liquids up until four hours before. I made her drink so much apple juice she said her tummy hurts. So the wait is on here at home. We leave in two hours to do the drive to the hospital. I wanted to go earlier but that was the only time slot available. It is a children's hospital so everyone probably tries for an earlier time slot.
I am trying to stay positive. The hardest is going to be staying in control of my tears. She will be scared, and let me tell you it doesn't take much to make me cry. You know when you see somone cry, it makes you cry.
I will let all of you know late tonight how she does. Keep praying.
babstr.
