Hello, Today I am 31 years old.
I did not to do much and my H won't be home until 10:00 p.m
A friend of mine called and she said that her friend got sabina (spelling) to go to court to establish paternity. Her friend is single so there was an unknown on BC. Her friend's D is 14 months old.
She told me the laws in WI changed and now it is a law that every child have a father's name on BC and the mother has to file to establish paterinty or the courts will do it for her. Does anyone know if this is true? OC is only 8 months old. I tried calling my lawyer but he won't talk me wants to talk to my H. But my H won't call.
Maybe I will try a different lawyer.
I wish bystander was still here.
Oh, I found out that OW no longer works at the daycare. I do not know if she got fired or she quit. My H seems to think she lost her job. And we don't know if she has health insurance for OC or not. Or if she went on Medical Assistance.
I know you say let sleeping dies lie but I believe it is only time before anything is done.
Dawn

It is my birthday too! I turned 30, and it is just me, my 3 year old, and my big pregnant belly. I only have three weeks left in my pregnancy, so not only is is just us, but I am hormonally depressed. My husband is still on military duty in the desert. No one offered to take me out, and I am trying not to get too depressed.
Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to you too!!
babstr.

Happy Birthday to you both.
And babster... this is an exciting time in your pregnancy. Try not to think about the fact that H isn't there. Concentrate on all those cool moves your baby is making in your belly. I could sit and watch for hours while my son & daughter kicked and squirmed inside.
In fact I'd eat a bunch of sweets just to see the show sometimes.
Wishing you the best of luck.
Dawn,
Has your H thought to file his own case with the CS enforcement agency? But think before you do this, if it is his, you'll have to pay CS from here on out... but if you are in a state that mandates back support from birth, filing your own case will be to your advantage in the long run.
Something to think about, Z.

Happy Birthday Dawn and Babstr!
Dawn, I would definitely change lawyers. That is not an appropriate attitude for YOUR lawyer to have. It is not unusual for the OW's lawyer to refuse to speak with you, but yours should be dealing with you and your H as a couple.
Babstr, praying for your home stretch. No one offered to take you out? You didn't want to experience the joy of looking for a restroom every 3 minutes anyway! You are getting the greatest and neatest birthday gift, right there in your big belly. So, try not to get too depressed.
love to both of you old women, heavenly

Happy Birthday Dawn and Babstr!
(((HUGS))) Babstr... hang in there! soon you will have a little bundle of joy!
Dawn, Definitely find another lawyer. And when you do, make sure upfront that they know they will be dealing with you as a couple. That you are just as much a part of this as he is, and you expect to be treated equally and be give the same information whether or not H is there.
Good luck, hon...
Hope you both had a great birthday!

Happy Birthday to you Dawn and Babstr! I'm a Gemini too June 20!
Dawn get a new lawyer! If H doesn't agree do it anyway! It's like a male society with atty's sometime and this will affect you too! Lawyer in our case talked to US together marveling at how we were able to overcome ow and her stab at our lives through the oc! Told us both to stay calm and learn to adjust to a woman jilted and thinking a baby could keep "them" together. Said we needed to be calm so we wouldn't suffer a heartattack!
ha! Then she couldn't collect money for the baby SHE wanted and H didn't/doesn't.......
And the beat goes on... Ow is a hoot going to nightly baseball games telling people oc doesn't look like H except for nose and what's between his legs! OH! What a hoe! And a married one! But her h is thousands of miles away..... If he could hear her now.... BTW, We plan on moving in the near future as H is sickened by her actions and wants to forget she ever existed. Me too.
Recovey is good and one day soon I'll let you all in on just what's been goin on.
Best wishes. love Debi
[ June 26, 2002: Message edited by: gemini1 ]

Happy Birthday Ladies!!!!!!! Dawn, sorry I missed you tonite I got your IM at 1am! I wish we could have talked! I agree with the others...try to call a different office. Surely there is a way to at least find out what the laws are without going thru all this!
Babstr: Wishing you the best. I know what it is like to have the hubby away. We are dealing with that now. Hang in there the end is near and soon you will be so busy with the baby to think about it!
BTW Dawn, I will not be on-line for a while as we are visiting family...I'll look for you whae I get back! Hey Ladies,
Let me wish you both a wonderful birthday (retrospective) and do an impression of my adorably, cute, new-adopted boys.
Last Saturday was Mr. J's birthday. We made a cake and put 42 candles on it (burned my eyebrows off trying to light the darn thing). I carefully taught them the words to Happy Birthday. (It is sung to the same tune w/ different words all over the world) so I thought they might catch on quickly.
So (I have a great voice if I do say so myself--lots of voice training and a blessing from above). Mi, mi, mi
I go:
Haaaaappppppyyyyyy BBBBBIIIIIRRRRRTTTTHHHDDDDAY tttttooooo yyyyyoooooouuuuuu and my younger son pipes in "cha cha cha"
So we sang Happy Birthday as a chorus line
HAAAAAYYYYY mumbled, mumbled Day you cha cha cha HAAAAAYYYYY mumbled, mumbled Day you cha cha cha HAAAAAYYYYY Day mumbled PAPA!!!!!!!! HAAAAAYYYYY mumbled, mumbled Day you CHA CHA CHA!!!!! with energetic shaking of our bums--small and not so small.
It was hysterical and one of my highlights of being a new mom.
So Tina and Babs, consider yourselves serenaded by the Russian-American Bum Mariachi chorus.
MJ
[ June 27, 2002: Message edited by: MaryJanes ]
