sl,,,,, sounds like your stepson is in hs. when my oldest started hs i didn't see much of him either. they get jobs, studying demands more time, they spend tons of time with their new friends learning how to use their wings without crashing, and of course there is always the opposite sex thing "the dreaded girl friend". if you make sure that you and your h are always there for him when he truly needs you the end result with be worth the wait.
your exow sounds like many who are just a little bit testy when they realize that they don't get the right to call all the shots. sounds like you and h are handleing it very well.
you may consider thanking her for the phone numbers telling her that it was really a concern on your part that there may have been a need to contact her and you were unsure of all the avenues available.
kill her with kindness.

Stacia,

Can I just take a moment to tell you:

you are a phenominal woman. what poise, what strength, what patience, what dignity, what compassion you have.

When I grow up, I wanna be just like you.

Congrats on a great party and rising to the top just like the good cream always does!

Z.

Thanks again Z! You always brighten my day!

Pops,
I had already thought about the "thank you" to exOW... I even told H that I thought it a good idea. He only wants to ignore it and leave the numbers in the computer.

But, I did do something in order to let exOW know that H and I are a team, in case he emails her from that account.
I changed the name on the outgoing emails to say, Mr and Mrs Stacia Lee..
I am also thinking of tacking on a signature...
"We have been through a lot... but we got through it TOGETHER."

What do you think? did I over-step? I haven't done the signature yet.. but I am sure thinking about it, as a precautionary thing.

sl,,,,,, i myself believe it would take something enormous for a bs to over step their bounderies. i haven't seen anyone here that has done it so far (that i can remember). my piont being that i think the signature line is great. it is not insulting, belittleing, sarcastic, demeaning, or anything else you can think of.

STacia,
I do not think you over stepped your boundaries. Are you going to e-mail her and said thank you?

You are a remarkable person. I would like to be just like you.
