Thank you everyone!
She is a very important part of my life now.
I have loved her since H placed her in my arms at 5 wks old.
She loves me and that is all I can ask for at this point in time.
I checked before I posted the link and just checked before posting this time… There have been over 200 hits to her page in 2 days!
Thanks again!

Stacia--
Since you decided to be very involved in the OC's life, I've got a question for ya--
Did you do announcements when she was born or became a part of your life? I kind of want to do something to announce the baby to my family and friends, and make it very clear to all that he is a part of our life as a family. However, we are still at the beginning--I haven't even met him yet, though I am getting more excited and less angry daily it seems.
What did you do along this line? What is tasteful (welcome to the child of my H's sin does not seem appropriate <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> ) And any thoghts on timing or who to send it to? Thanks!
BTW--awesome pictures and website--she sure seems loved by all! EJ

EJ, To understand my situation, it may be easier for you to read the 'Saga'.
I will go back and attempt to bump it up for you to see.
We didn't do anything to announce her to our families. My parents knew of her coming, as did H's family. They all knew of the circumstances of her conception and birth.
It wasn't easy. And it still is very difficult in some aspects. But seeing her smile at me, give me kisses and call me Mommy makes my heart melt.
Let me go now and try to bump up my saga...

Oh, you left me in suspense wondering if she followed the case plan and was reunited w/little bit or what--in my day job I work closely with moms who's children have been removed by CPS due to substance abuse, and I've seen the process you went through many times--ugh.
--at the moment I'm actually thankful for the OW--horrible person, but apparently a loving mom--
Thanks for bumping it up for me--I truly fear we are in for a fight of that magnitude, since she is inventing facts like I threatened the baby's life to keep him away from our home and me. My H won't stand for it, but I am dreading the drama and the expense of a court fight.
Thanks for the input! EJ

EJ, Sorry to leave you hanging with that one thread. I originally posted that just after coming to Marriagebuilders.
Let me see if I can update you a little further… They did dissolve the “Safety Plan.” And doing that allowed exOW to return to her apartment. She claimed to have disconnected everything because she couldn’t afford to have it all on and not be living there… In my experience, if you have your electric cut off at an apartment for so long you may be evicted. And Lord knows, she claims to have had it off for 3 months or more. The funny thing is… her mother moved into the apartment directly across the patio from her. Now isn’t that cozy? What is the point of all this? Do they think that doing this will make it “better” on exOW? UGH… H and I are now keeping up the immunizations for Lil Bit. ExOW didn’t take her for her shots when they were due. Poor little thing got her 9-month shots when she was 11 months old! Her year old checkup is coming up and we will be taking her. H finally got his insurance company to add her to his policy. That was a fiasco. They refused to add her, at first because she wasn’t add within the 30 days following her birth… we were awaiting the DNA…and then there was a clerical error at the company he works for… that pushed it out even further… Now H covers her but exOW does not have insurance on her, from what we have discovered from the pediatrician’s office.
DCS finally adjudicated. They stated that the child “had” been at risk of abuse and neglect at the time of the petition. That meant, she was.. But isn’t any more, which to me makes no sense whatsoever! The only good thing now is that H has been granted Joint Physical Custody. We are still waiting to find out when we go to court again. We have been going through this court thing for over a year now. We have been through 2 lawyers. The first was not comfortable that she could give this case the attention and expertise that it deserved, so she talked to another attorney and she agreed to take our case. We have been very fortunate with our Attorneys. They both are terrific!
I am happy to answer any of your questions.
I am here to lend a shoulder… an ear… and be a friend and to learn. I have found many friends here. I am grateful to the Lord for using Dawn71 to lead me here.
