I know this is off topic, But I felt that this was a good place to request prayers for a dear friend of mine.
My friend, Sunnie, has 2 boys from a previous marriage. Her exH has had the boys for his summer visitation and was to return them this last Friday. He never brought them back. Her lawyer filed Child Abduction charges on Monday… and today they have a hearing with the court because her exH has filed a request for emergency temporary custody. He is alleging that her DH bathes the kids in dirty water… Sunnie gives the boys their baths. This is a desperate(lame) attempt to keep the boys from Sunnie. And we pray the court sees through it.
I am asking for your prayers that the boys are safe and well. Sunnie hasn’t heard from them in weeks. Her exH has been keeping the boys in hiding. We are all worried about the boys’ well-being, as this pyscho has threatened to kill Sunnie in the past.
Thank you Dear Friends… As soon as I hear something, I will update you.

I am struck over and over again by this nation's "soul sickness". It just doesn't stop, not the horror, not the injustices and I wonder why we have turned so evil. Is it because we as a nation have turned so far away from God?
I believe we are being brought down to our knees.
While God is instilling the Holy Spirit into each one of our souls, I will pray for Sunnie and her two children and that they will be brought home safe and sound to her immediately. May God comfort her and protect those children.

Ok.. here’s the scoop on my friend, Sunnie and her boys…
She is in one state… and her exH is about 4 states away. He had the boys for his summer visitation and he kept them well past his time. He filed child neglect and abuse charges against Sunnie and her H in an attempt to cause Sunnie ore pain and anguish.
Sunnie, being states away from where exH filed these charges couldn’t get there in time for the hearing, so her parents went in her place (they live in the same state as exH and his family) The attorneys had their say… and the Judge took very little time looking at the affidavits and ruled there was insufficient evidence to warrant taking them from Sunnie’s care. So the child abuse and neglect allegations were tossed out. Her exMIL charged out of the courtroom hitting the door so hard it stopped the Judge mid sentence. Her exFIL and exH threatened her father and mother as they walked out of the courtroom. The worst part is that the boys were both there to hear the profanity and see the horrible actions of their Paternal Grandparents and their Father. The exILs threw a fit because the judge had ordered the boys to be returned to their mother, and they didn’t want the clothes the boys were wearing to go back to Sunnie’s. They screamed that those were “OUR clothes” and “they are not wearing them back home.” ExH’s new wife told the boys that now they had to “go back to your s&*^ of a mother…” GGRRRRRR
But now the boys are safe and sound with Sunnie’s parents and will be Home... safe and sound… sometime tomorrow.
Now… the last thing is for Sunnie to go to court over the Abduction charges that they filed on her exH… and maybe harassment and some other charges too… They are going for Jail time for the abduction.
Thank you for the prayers… I know that Sunnie appreciates it and I do too!!!

so sad when someones hate for someone is more than their love for their child.
How sad for those children.. But they do have sunnie and her family to love them and help them over come.

Wow, that's deep...
It's just a good thing kids are resilient. I'm sure they will bounce back from all this and I too agree that God is helping all of them get through this unscathed. Glad she got her kids back!!!

I'm so glad to see justice for your friend. The biggest winners are the kids...they are back with people who love them and don't say terrible things or create stressful shrieking (selfish) situations in front of them to make them feel so horrible.
When I was five, my dad said terrible things about my mom that were not true...I even knew it at the time. But his screaming and names made me feel so utterly sick inside, I remember to this day how relieved I was when he was gone and how great I felt when I was with my mom and grandparents. I suspect that while these things were devastating to witness and be a part of, those kids are thrilled to be four states away from him right now. The kids need a break from these people and they need to be charged with child abuse for assaulting their little emotional beings.
Shame on "adults" who traumatize little kids like that.
Mom of Five...your quote says it all so right on.

this gave me a "chills" when I read it. My two daughters are with their Dad for the summer, this being the 1st time with me living in Kansas and them in Washington still. I have had the fear of "what if he doesn't return them"...ugh But he will, rationally I know this. We have both managed to put aside our feelings for each other and both put the girls well being first. Still doesn't stop those bad thoughts from creeping in tho...darn it!

Seeing all that stuff on Tv makes us crazy, too. Just remember the things on TV are sometimes hyped for ratings and made to look like it happens more than it does. While it happens every day, in perspective to the population ratio, the liklihood of this happening to our family is fairly remote unless one is dealing with a psycho or an obstinant revengeful former spouse.
I am relieved to hear your and your X are on good terms. Send him some cookies or something...keep it friendly. Disarm.
