I can speak from experience on the PAS syndrome...my mother passed that on to my sister and I and it affected our relationship with our father that in some ways haven't healed.
I swore that in my divorce, I would never do that to my two older girls...therefore even after being abandoned for 8 years they were able to enjoy a five week visit with their bio-dad and step-mother without all the mess...any signs of hostility was on his side...it didn't come from ours.
It's a sad situation to put a child in. I think that's one of the reasons we chose no contact after weighing out all the facts. This decision didn't come lightly.
