I really appreciate everyones input on my last message. I have printed a copy for my husband to read. He is reading it right now so hopefully I will have his response soon. I want him to understand my feelings. For some reason he thinks that because I have known about OC since before birth I should not be upset when he brings up things like visitation. He says that he thought I was more resilliant than that. I told him that everyone has a breaking point and he has found mine. I think I am strong just for staying with him!!
Anyways, I have decided to go ahead and have visitation too. I have talked to H about being too overbearing and I think he kind of gets it. (we can only hope). I have decided that the first meeting should be at a park, OW will drive halfway to meet us (they live 1 hr away).
I am angry though because H just called me and asked if I wanted to do it tonight with his MOM!!!! I told him I do not want an audience and his mother and I are not that close. She makes me angry because she wants to have contact with OC and yet doesnt try to have contact with us and our daughter. I guess I am jealous of the attention OC will recieve from his family and I want to keep this between us until I am more comfortable. I also am tired of everyone thinking that I should just accept things. What about my feelings? Why cant he understand that?
I also found out yesterday, (on our wedding anniversary) that I am 2 weeks pregnant. He reacted by saying that he is glad and if this is meant to be than it is meant to be because his life is in the Lords hands. I feel like he is so non-chalant! Me, I am kind of freaking out. The last time I got Pregnant I mis-carried and then we split up for almost a year!!

Ahhhh!!!

I hate butt-insky in-laws who are intrusive and manipulative. I hope you husband has the good sense not to include MIL for several visits to come. What's up with that? Curiosity?

Your in my prayers, Gretchen...I'm sorry you're so upset when right now you should be calm and relaxed with your husband focused on you, you, you. Stay strong.

My H has agreed that IL does not need to come first time. And he apologized for not understanding how I must be feeling right now.
He told the OW that he had to talk to me about visitation more before it happened and we would let him know. I guess we are going to try tomorrow. I am really nervous about talking to her. Meanwhile I have a bloodtest today to make sure I am not miscarrying again. What a nightmare!!

Gretchen,

I too will have you in my prayers! Not just in regards to the visitation talk w/OW, but also for this bloodtest! As for your H's reaction, they often take this kind of stuff in a very different manner. It also is not quite as hard for them as it is for you, because you are the one going through the hormone changes and such, when he doesn't have any changes. It also may just be him protecting himself from the possiblilty again. I pray that you and future baby are well.

Love,

Tigger
