Hello, I was just wondering about the people in Louisiana and the people that got hit by the storms this past week. If everyone is o.k. there. If you had any damage to your homes?
Friday morning we were hit by a Gus tornado. It is just like a tornado but it was not raining or lightning or thundering. The winds hit up to 75 mph. A couple blocks down a roof came off and a lot of trees were up rooted. There were lots of leafs, parts of trees in the streets. I was so scared because there was no warning for serve weather or watch. And our village does not have a siren to warn us of severe weather. So, we have to rely on the radio and TV. to tell us, but they did not.
Thank God it did not happen an hour earlier when the kids were walking to school. We had a neighbor’s umbrella in yard and and our grill flew and it is in pieces now. Desperate all the damage to people’s home no one was hurt! God was looking out for us.

Hi Dawn, glad to hear no one was hurt. I'm up North, so the hurricane is only causing rain here. Or maybe not because of the hurricane - can't tell, we get rain this time of year anyways. However, we have had more than usual. [ October 07, 2002, 05:21 PM: Message edited by: Sue with hope ]
