So after 8 yrs of marriage, his 3rd, my 2nd, we have been divorced 5 years....however, I have moved back in once a year, usually around Christmas. We have a 9 yr old son. I was a stay at home mom, now I work in real estate. He manipulates me to come back, using my son and financial struggles to lure me in, I am weak and cannot say no to giving him one LAST try. He is a good man, has made some changes, I no longer love him, not sure I really ever did. My guilt keeps me from leaving permanently. Why can't I just say NO?

Perhaps you feel lonely? Holiday blues?

Next year, plan on being busy during the holidays. Make some plans. Take a cruise.

Why'd you get divorced?

Long story....short....He was a very insecure and unhappy man that I thought I could change. I wanted kids....he was financially secure with no kids....was very emotionally abusive and self-centered, a bully. I was weak, beat down from my first marriage, rebounded into this marriage. Since then, I have grown, become independant. I want to remaind friends because of our son, but he refuses.....either marriage or nothing. You are right...I need to keep busy during the holidays...but I have moved in for the last time! I just cannot see myself marrying him again. I plan to move in May for the final time. I think he has finally accepted that he cannot make me love him.....and I am convinced I cannot pretend I love him enough to marry him. I am being true to myself.....Thanks for your note! I truly appreciate your reply!
